Impressum Simone Bachmann Weidstrasse 1 8253 Diessenhofen Email: [email protected] Januar 2013 I Zusammenfassung Im ersten Teil dieser Arbeit werden die untersuchten Pionierbaumarten Birke, Aspe und Weide kurz porträtiert und die Bedeutung dieser Weichlaubhölzer bezüglich der drei Dimensionen der Nachhal- tigkeit – Ökologie, Ökonomie und Gesellschaft – untersucht. Die ökologische Vielfalt an Insekten und besonders an prächtigen Waldtagfaltern, an Vögeln, Säugetieren, Pilzen, Moosen und Flechten, wel- che auf diverse Art und Weise an eine oder mehrere der Pionierbaumarten gebunden ist, scheint unergründlich. Ebenfalls ist ihre wirtschaftliche, respektive waldbauliche Bedeutung in „Zeitmischun- gen“ als Vorwaldbaumarten mit breiten ökologischen Amplituden nicht zu unterschätzen. Jede dieser drei Baumarten hat ausserdem diverse überlieferte Verwendungszwecke und kulturabhängige, un- terschiedliche gesellschaftliche Stellenwerte. Der zweite Teil dieser Arbeit beinhaltet die Felderhebungen und deren Auswertungen auf Grund zweier Fragestellungen und den dazugehörigen Hypothesen: 1. Wo kommen Pioniergehölze heute im Badener Wald vor? 2. Welche Stellung nehmen Pioniergehölze in einer Sturmfläche, nach 12 Jahren ohne Eingriffe, ein? Die Untersuchungen bezüglich der erstgenannten Fragestellung wurden im Wirtschaftswald mittels vorangehenden GIS-Analysen durchgeführt. Zur zweiten Fragestellung basierten die Feldaufnahmen im Naturwaldreservat Teufelskeller auf einem bestehenden Stichprobennetz. Die Auswertungen dieser Erhebungen zeigten die heutige Verbreitung der Pionierbaumarten im Ba- dener Wald sowie deren Potential – respektive Häufigkeit auf. Die Naturverjüngung an Aspen und Weiden im Badener Wirtschaftswald sowie das Vorkommen grösserer Stärkeklassen ist entlang von Waldstrassen besonders gross. Birken etablieren sich eher im Bestandesinneren. Weiter haben Standraumanalysen ergeben, dass die drei untersuchten Pionierbaumarten unterschiedliche Platzan- sprüche aufweisen. Bei einem BHD von 40 cm hat eine vitale Birke ungefähr 6.8 m, eine Aspe 8.6 m und eine Salweide 9 m Kronendurchmesser. Im dritten Teil dieser Arbeit wird die Langzeitmanagementstrategie aus den Erkenntnissen der ersten beiden Teile erarbeitet und die ökonomischen Konsequenzen für den Forstbetrieb Baden abge- schätzt. Als prioritäre Massnahmen für die Förderung der Pionierbaumarten in Baden kristallisierte sich die Begünstigung der Aspen und Salweiden entlang von Waldstrassen heraus und diejenige der Birke in truppweiser Mischung im Bestandesinneren. Dabei ergibt sich für die Pioniergehölze im Ver- gleich zu einem Buchenwald ein mittlerer Ertragsverlust von 120 Fr. pro Hektare und Jahr und 160 Fr. pro Hektare und Jahr im Vergleich zu einem Fichtenwald. II Abstract In the first part of this Master’s thesis the various aspects of sustainability, the ecological, economic and social values of the three observed pioneer tree species birch (Betula pendula), aspen (Populus tremula) and goat willow (Salix caprea) are discussed. There is much research detailing the ecological diversity of flora and fauna that is dependent on at least one of these pioneer species. As well the economic significance of these species in silviculture their various medicinal and cultural uses are also discussed. The second part of this study details the fieldwork and the evaluation of two fundamental questions and the corresponding hypotheses. 1. Where do pioneer species occur today in the forests of Baden 2. What roles do pioneer species play in a storm devastated woodland, after twelve years with- out any silviculture management To answer the first question a sample study took place in a production forest in Baden CH with the sample grid area fixed by a GIS-analysis. To answer the second question an existing sample grid in a windblow area of the Teufelskeller Natural Forest Reserve was analysed. The interpretation of the results showed correlations in the occurrence of pioneer species and their natural habitat in Baden. The study found that in unmanaged forests natural regeneration of aspen and goat willow are found mostly alongside forest trails, whilst birches establish predominantly within the stand interior. Re- search of these particular pioneer tree species to examine how much space they require showed that a birch with a diameter at breast height (DBH) of 40 cm has a crown diameter of 6.8 m, whilst an aspen of the same dimension 8.6 m and a goat willow 9 m. In the third part of this study the long term management strategy, based on the findings in part one and two, was designed and the economic consequences for Baden estimated. The promotion of as- pen and goat willow along forest trails and that of birch within the heart of the stand is strongly rec- ommended. In doing so Baden has to calculate a yield loss for the pioneer species of approximately 120 Fr. per hectare per year in comparison to a beech forest and 160 Fr. per hectare per year in comparison to a Norway spruce forest.     FRIENDS OF WEST HUNSBURY PARKS BIOLOGICAL SURVEYS AT HUNSBURY HILL COUNTRY PARK 2018 Ryan Clark Northamptonshire Biodiversity Records Centre April 2019 Northamptonshire Biodiversity Records Centre Introduction Biological records tell us which species are present on sites and are essential in informing the conservation and management of wildlife. In 2018, the Northamptonshire Biodiversity Records Centre ran a number of events to encourage biological recording at Hunsbury Hill Fort as part of the Friends of West Hunsbury Park’s project, which is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Hunsbury Hill Country Park is designated as a Local Wildlife Site (LWS). There are approximately 700 Local Wildlife Sites in Northamptonshire. Local Wildlife Sites create a network of areas, which are important as refuges for wildlife or wildlife corridors. Hunsbury Hill Country Park was designated as a LWS in 1992 for its woodland flora and the variety of habitats that the site possesses. The site also has a Local Geological Site (LGS) which highlights the importance of this site for its geology as well as biodiversity. This will be surveyed by the local geological group in due course. Hunsbury Hill Country Park Local Wildlife Site Boundary 1 Northamptonshire Biodiversity Records Centre (NBRC) supports the recording, curation and sharing of quality verified environmental information for sound decision-making. We hold nearly a million biological records covering a variety of different species groups. Before the start of this project, we looked to see which species had been recorded at the site. We were surprised to find that the only records we have for the site have come from Local Wildlife Site Surveys, which assess the quality of the site and focus on vascular plants, with some casual observations of other species noted too.

    رﺳﺘﻨﯿﻬﺎ 18(1): 106–104 (1396) - ﻣﻘﺎﻟﻪ ﮐﻮﺗﺎه Rostaniha 18(1): 104–106 (2017) - Short Article Harzia acremonioides، ﮔﻮﻧﻪ ﺟﺪﯾﺪي ﺑﺮاي ﻗﺎرچﻫﺎي اﯾﺮان درﯾﺎﻓﺖ: 17/03/1396 / ﭘﺬﯾﺮش: 1396/05/31 ﻋﻠﯿﺮﺿﺎ ﭘﻮرﺻﻔﺮ: داﻧﺶآﻣﻮﺧﺘﻪ ﮐﺎرﺷﻨﺎﺳﯽ ارﺷﺪ ﺑﯿﻤﺎريﺷﻨﺎﺳﯽ ﮔﯿﺎﻫﯽ، ﮔﺮوه ﮔﯿﺎهﭘﺰﺷﮑﯽ، ﭘﺮدﯾﺲ ﮐﺸﺎورزي و ﻣﻨﺎﺑﻊ ﻃﺒﯿﻌﯽ، داﻧﺸﮕﺎه ﺗﻬﺮان، ﮐﺮج، اﯾﺮان ﯾﻮﺑﺮت ﻗﻮﺳﺘﺎ: داﻧﺸﯿﺎر ﺑﯿﻤﺎريﺷﻨﺎﺳﯽ ﮔﯿﺎﻫﯽ، داﻧﺸﮑﺪه ﮐﺸﺎورزي داﻧﺸﮕﺎه اروﻣﯿﻪ، اروﻣﯿﻪ، اﯾﺮان ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﺟﻮان ﻧﯿﮑﺨﻮاه: اﺳﺘﺎد ﻗﺎرچﺷﻨﺎﺳﯽ و ﺑﯿﻤﺎريﺷﻨﺎﺳﯽ ﮔﯿﺎﻫﯽ، ﮔﺮوه ﮔﯿﺎهﭘﺰﺷﮑﯽ، ﭘﺮدﯾﺲ ﮐﺸﺎورزي و ﻣﻨﺎﺑﻊ ﻃﺒﯿﻌﯽ، داﻧﺸﮕﺎه ﺗﻬﺮان، ﮐﺮج 77871- 31587، اﯾﺮان ([email protected]) در اداﻣﻪ ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﻋﻮاﻣﻞ ﻗﺎرﭼﯽ ﻣﺮﺗﺒﻂ ﺑﺎ ﻋﻼﯾﻢ ﮐﭙﮏ ﺳﯿﺎه (دودهاي) ﺧﻮﺷﻪﻫﺎي ﮔﻨﺪم و ﺟﻮ در ﻣﻨﺎﻃﻖ ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻒ اﺳﺘﺎنﻫﺎي ﮔﻠﺴﺘﺎن، اﻟﺒﺮز و ﻗﺰوﯾﻦ ﻃﯽ ﻓﺼﻞﻫﺎي زراﻋﯽ ﺳﺎلﻫﺎي 1393 و 1394، ﺟﺪاﯾﻪﻫﺎي ﻣﺘﻌﺪدي ﺑﺎ وﯾﮋﮔﯽﻫﺎي ﺟﻨﺲ Harzia Costantin ﺟﻤﻊآوري ﮔﺮدﯾﺪ. ﺑﺮاﺳﺎس ﺻﻔﺎت رﯾﺨﺖﺷﻨﺎﺧﺘﯽ، ﺗﻤﺎﻣﯽ ﺟﺪاﯾﻪﻫﺎي ﺑﻪ دﺳﺖ آﻣﺪه ﺗﺤﺖ ﮔﻮﻧﻪ H. acremonioides (Harz) Costantin ﺷﻨﺎﺳﺎﯾﯽ ﺷﺪﻧﺪ. ﺑﺮاﺳﺎس اﻃﻼﻋﺎت ﻣﻮﺟﻮد، اﯾﻦ ﻧﺨﺴﺘﯿﻦ ﮔﺰارش از وﺟﻮد اﯾﻦ ﮔﻮﻧﻪ ﺑﺮاي ﻣﺠﻤﻮﻋﻪ ﻗﺎرچﻫﺎي اﯾﺮان ﺑﻮده و در اﯾﻦ ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﺗﻮﺻﯿﻒ ﻣﯽﺷﻮد: ﭘﺮﮔﻨﻪ در ﺟﺪاﯾﻪﻫﺎي اﯾﻦ ﮔﻮﻧﻪ روي ﻣﺤﯿﻂ ﻏﺬاﯾﯽ ﻋﺼﺎره ﻣﺎﻟﺖ- آﮔﺎر (MEA)، ﺳﺮﯾﻊاﻟﺮﺷﺪ ﺑﻮده و ﻗﻄﺮ آنﻫﺎ ﺑﻌﺪ از ﮔﺬﺷﺖ ﻫﻔﺖ روز در دﻣﺎي 25-23 درﺟﻪ ﺳﻠﺴﯿﻮس و ﺗﺤﺖ ﺗﺎرﯾﮑﯽ ﻣﺪاوم ﺑﺮاﺑﺮ ﺑﺎ ﻫﻔﺖ ﺳﺎﻧﺘﯽﻣﺘﺮ اﺳﺖ. ﭘﺮﮔﻨﻪ در اﺑﺘﺪا ﺑﯽرﻧﮓ، ﺳﭙﺲ ﺑﻪ رﻧﮓ ﻗﻬﻮهاي روﺷﻦ ﺗﺎ ﻗﻬﻮهاي دارﭼﯿﻨﯽ ﺗﻐﯿﯿﺮ ﻣﯽﯾﺎﺑﺪ، ﭘﺮﮔﻨﻪ ﻣﺴﻄﺢ و ﭘﻨﺒﻪاي اﺳﺖ. ﻫﺎگزاﯾﯽ ﻓﺮاوان، اﻏﻠﺐ از رﯾﺴﻪﻫﺎي ﻣﻮﺟﻮد در ﺳﻄﺢ ﻣﺤﯿﻂ ﮐﺸﺖ و ﺑﻪ ﻣﯿﺰان ﮐﻢﺗﺮ از رﯾﺴﻪﻫﺎي ﻫﻮاﯾﯽ اﻧﺠﺎم ﻣﯽﺷﻮد (ﺷﮑﻞ A -1 و B). رﯾﺴﻪﻫﺎ ﺑﯽرﻧﮓ، ﺑﻨﺪ ﺑﻨﺪ، ﻣﻨﺸﻌﺐ و ﺑﻪ ﻗﻄﺮ 7-5 ﻣﯿﮑﺮوﻣﺘﺮ ﻣﯽﺑﺎﺷﻨﺪ. ﻫﺎگﺑﺮﻫﺎ ﺑﯽرﻧﮓ، ﺑﺎرﯾﮏ و ﮐﺸﯿﺪه، راﺳﺖ ﺗﺎ ﻗﺪري ﺧﻤﯿﺪه، اﻏﻠﺐ ﺑﺎ 2- 1 ﺑﻨﺪ ﻋﺮﺿﯽ و ﺑﺎ اﻧﺸﻌﺎﺑﺎت ﻫﻢﭘﺎﯾﻪ ﮐﻪ ﺑﻪ ﺳﻤﺖ اﻧﺘﻬﺎ ﺑﺎرﯾﮏ و ﻧﻮك ﺗﯿﺰ ﻣﯽﺷﻮﻧﺪ.

    Moths of Poole Harbour is a project of Birds of Poole Harbour Moths of Poole Harbour Species List Birds of Poole Harbour & Moths of Poole Harbour recording area The Moths of Poole Harbour Project The ‘Moths of Poole Harbour’ project (MoPH) was established in 2017 to gain knowledge of moth species occurring in Poole Harbour, Dorset, their distribution, abundance and to some extent, their habitat requirements. The study area uses the same boundaries as the Birds of Poole Harbour (BoPH) project. Abigail Gibbs and Chris Thain, previous Wardens on Brownsea Island for Dorset Wildlife Trust (DWT), were invited by BoPH to undertake a study of moths in the Poole Harbour recording area. This is an area of some 175 square kilometres stretching from Corfe Castle in the south to Canford Heath in the north of the conurbation and west as far as Wareham. 4 moth traps were purchased for the project; 3 Mercury Vapour (MV) Robinson traps with 50m extension cables and one Actinic, Ultra-violet (UV) portable Heath trap running from a rechargeable battery. This was the capability that was deployed on most of the ensuing 327 nights of trapping. Locations were selected using a number of criteria: Habitat, accessibility, existing knowledge (previously well-recorded sites were generally not included), potential for repeat visits, site security and potential for public engagement. Field work commenced from late July 2017 and continued until October. Generally, in the years 2018 – 2020 trapping field work began in March/ April and ran on until late October or early November, stopping at the first frost.

Kravchenko Abstract The article reports on the quantitative description of the food web structure of the community consisting of 65 species of Lepidoptera leaf miners reared from 34 plant species, as well as 107 species of parasitoid eulophid wasps (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae). The study was conducted in the forest-steppe zone of the Middle Volga in Russia over 13 years (2000-2012). Leaf miners have been found to be highly host plant-specific. Most of them are associated with only one or two plant species and therefore the number of links between trophic levels is 73, which is close to the total number of Lepidoptera species (linkage density is 1.12).

Since its publication, many new discoveries have been made and are reported here. In addition, several deletions have been made. A concise and updated checklist is provided. The following abbreviations are used in the text: BM(NH) – The Natural History Museum, London; NMINH – National Museum of Ireland, Natural History, Dublin. The total number of confirmed Irish species now stands at 1480, an addition of 68 since Bond et al. (2006). Taxonomic arrangement As a result of recent systematic research, it has been necessary to replace the arrangement familiar to British and Irish Lepidopterists by the Fauna Europaea [FE] system used by Karsholt 60 Bulletin of the Irish Biogeographical Society No. 36 (2012) and Razowski, which is widely used in continental Europe.
