Baccalauréat ès sciences (spécialisation en biochimie) (et régime coopératif) Modification L’UdeM propose, dans le cadre de la reconfiguration de changer le nom du programme de « spécialisation Stade I Approuvé modifié à en biochimie » à « spécialisation en biochimie et biologie moléculaire». (Le 31 octobre 2016) Baccalauréat ès sciences (spécialisation en biochimie et biologie moléculaire (et régime coopératif) University of Fredericton Master of Business Administration / Executive Master of Business Administration Existing; Conditional The University of Fredericton offers online MBA and EMBA programs under the New Brunswick Degree NBDGA Pending consideration by the AAC at its Designation Granting Act. To obtain either the MBA or the EMBA, students complete 15 courses, including 11 next meeting foundational courses, 3 courses in a selected specialty stream and an end-of-program integration project. The programs are being assessed as per the Minister's (2014) condition to designation and in accordance with the Procedures and Information Requirements for the Follow-Up on Conditional Program Designations. To NBDGA Pending response from Yorkville Designation obtain the degree, students complete 16 courses, including 12 required courses, 3 electives chosen from a list and a required practicum. The program is being assessed as per the Minister's (2014) condition to designation and in accordance with the Procedures and Information Requirements for the Follow-Up on Conditional Program Designations . Doctor of Psychology (Counselling) New Yorkville University's proposed Doctor of Psychology (Counselling) is a profession-oriented doctoral-level NBDGA Pending response from Yorkville program rooted in the “scholar-practitioner” model of professional education. Students are required to earn 53 credits distributed across course work (36 credits), practica (12 credits), and a major project (5 credits); two comprehensive competency assessments comprise parts of the major project. To be considered for admission, applicants must possess a master's degree in counselling and substantial experience in counselling or a related discipline. NOVA SCOTIA Acadia University Bachelor of Arts, Women's Studies Modification Acadia is proposing to change the name of its BA in Women’s Studies to a BA in Women’s and Gender Stage I Approved to Studies. The modification also includes the addition of an introductory course and a 4000-level course, as (September 7, 2016) Bachelor of Arts, Women's and Gender Studies (with co-op option) well as honours and co-op options. Addition of co-operative education option to: Modification Acadia is proposing to introduce a co-operative education option to its BA in Environmental and Stage I Approved Bachelor of Arts, Environmental and Sustainability Studies Sustainability Studies programs. To obtain the co-op designation, students will complete three 4-month (October 5, 2016) Bachelor of Arts, Environmental and Sustainability Studies, with Honours work terms, or a 12 or 16 month internship, in addition to the standard degree requirements; with this addition, it will typically take students one semester longer to complete their degree. Atlantic School of Theology No proposals being considered at this time Cape Breton University Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Supply Chain Management New CBU is proposing to add a Major in Supply Chain Management to complement its existing Majors within the Stage II Approved BBA. To obtain the proposed Major, students complete 60ch of core BBA courses, 24 credits specific to (October 5, 2016) Supply Chain Management (18ch of required courses and 6ch chosen from a select list), and an additional 36ch of electives. Dalhousie University MSc/PhD in Psychology Modification Dalhousie is proposing to change the name of both its MSc and PhD in Psychology and its MSc and PhD in Stage II Pending response from Dal to Psychology/Neuroscience to MSc and PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience. MSc/PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience Mount Saint Vincent University No proposals being considered at this time Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University Master of Design Modification NSCAD is proposing to change its current MDes from a one-year, 42 credit program to a two-year, 60 credit Stage II Pending Stage II request program. In the modified program, students are expected to complete three Intensive Design Workshops, three Studio Projects, three Studio Workshops, three Design Seminars, a Design Research course, a Design History course, and a Final Project. Elective options will also be available. The modifications are intended to respond to student feedback and also to allow the program to meet the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) standards. www.mphec.ca www.cespm.ca Page 2 Saint Mary’s University Master of Science in Applied Psychology (Forensic Psychology Stream) Modification SMU is proposing to add a stream in Forensic Psychology to its existing Master of Science in Applied Stage II Pending consideration by the MPHEC at Psychology (which includes a stream in Industrial/Organizational Psychology). The new stream would offer its next meeting three new courses (Forensic Tests and Measurement, Correctional Psychology, and Criminal Justice Field Experience) and require completion of Advanced Statistics, three Psychology electives, a thesis, and a practicum in a correctional or criminal justice setting. St. Francis Xavier University No proposals being considered at this time University of King's College No proposals being considered at this time Université Sainte-Anne No proposals being considered at this time PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND University of Prince Edward Island Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Leadership and Culture New UPEI is proposing a new four-year (120ch) interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Leadership Stage II Pending response from external and Culture. Students will complete core courses in all three areas, as well as three project-based courses. consultants All projects will be presented at an end-of-the-year, public event. Students will also participate in fieldwork experience, an internship placement in their fourth year and will be encouraged to undertake an exchange semester. Master of Science in Sustainable Design Engineering New UPEI is proposing to introduce a two-year thesis-based Master’s program in Sustainable Design Engineering.
