The life style of the 21st century people is very different; their attitude and culture have changed .This change of viewpoint is visible in every field of life including Film and television. Nowadays there are several realty shows capturing the attention of the people. The electronic media influence the mind of people. Different television programs target different categories of people .For example the cartoon programs target kids; the realty shows target youth. The points of view of the directors and audience are changing in the modern era. In earlier time, women had only a decorative role in the films. Their representation was merely for satisfying the needs of men. The roles of women were always under the norms and rules of the patriarchal society. They were most often presented on the screen as sexual objects .Here women were abused twice, first by the male character in the film and second, by the spectators. But now the scenario is different. The viewpoint of the directors as well as the audience has drastically changed .In this era the directors are courageous enough to make films with women as central characters.

  • 1. the Power of Divine Love
    1. The Power of Divine Love STUDENTS! To see an effulgent light you do not need another lamp. Likewise to know the self- luminous Aathmik Knowledge there is no need for any other knowledge. Every human being has in him the knowledge of his true form. Owing to his failure to know this stupendous fact, man pursues all kinds of worldly knowledge. All the diversity you see in creation is a manifestation of the Indivisible One. The cause is the same for both differences and oneness. All the changing entities are based upon the One that is unchanging. Creation has to be viewed as a Cosmic Stage. God is the director and dramatis personae in this play. He assigns all the roles of the characters in the play. All creatures in the world are manifestations of the Divine. The good and evil in the world are expressions of the Divine consciousness. Man should not be misled by these expressions. Behind all the various actions of the actors, the Divine director is at work. It should be realised that though names and forms may vary, languages and nationalities may be different, the human race is one in its divine essence. All are sparks of the Divine. The Lord declared in the Geetha: "All beings in the world of the living are aspects of my Eternal Self." Manifest God's love God is the embodiment of Love. Love is His nature. His love pervades the cosmos. This love is present in one and all. Just as God manifests His love in the world, everyone should manifest his love.

  • Textualization of Self in Pakistani Women's Vernacular Short
NUML Journal of Critical Inquiry Vol 15 (I), June, 2017 ISSN 2222-5706 Blue Roses for Women: Textualization of Self in Pakistani Women’s Vernacular Short Fiction Mirza Muhammad Zubair Baig Abstract The present research paper is based on the compiled volume of Pakistani women’s short fiction translated from the major vernaculars of country into English. These short stories noticeably encourage the women to be vocal about their issues and write their silences back erstwhile muffled in the traditional Pakistani society. These writings respond to Cixous’s call to write a woman, make her public through writing and narrativize her personal self that would enable her to reclaim her body back from patriarchy. These fictional writings trace back the tough journey of vulnerable Pakistani women since the historical moments of partition of India and creation of Pakistan. The women have put on a brave face to the difficult and hard times of dictatorial rules. The study reveals that the women have been beset historically, politically, socially, and locally with the communal biases, political conflicts, social constraints and local myths. Most of the stories are descriptive of women’s suffering though very few of them challenge the patriarchal structures and invite women to resist them. The close reading of the texts shows that the fictional selves and their textualization correlate with the real life women. The existing parochial social and cultural milieu in the present day Pakistan has worsened the life of an ordinary woman due to the absence of social justice. Even in the postcolonial times, women lack institutional support.

COUNTRY STUDY Feminism and the Women’s Movement in Pakistan Actors, Debates and Strategies Dr. Rubina Saigol REGIONAL Feminism and the Women’s Movement in Pakistan Actors, Debates and Strategies Dr. Rubina Saigol Feminist and women’s rights consciousness in Pakistan has historically been shaped in response to national and global reconfigurations of power including colonialism, nationalism, dictatorship, democracy and the Global War on Terror (GWoT). The relationship between the women’s movement and the Pakistani state has undergone significant shifts, from mutual accommodation and a complementary ethos to confrontation and conflict, followed by collaboration, co-optation and, finally, collusion depending upon transformations in the nature of the state at particular moments in history. The strategies of the women’s movement reflect significant shifts, from a focus on education and welfare to legal reform, and ultimately to women’s political and economic rights. A historically consistent and sustained tension between the women’s movement/feminism and the state, as well as between the movement and ‘civil society’ consisting of non-state actors, has resulted from specific articulations of religion at different times confronted by the impulse toward a secular ethos.
