District Song Contest “School Eurovision 2015” DISTRICT SONG CONTEST “SCHOOL EUROVISION 2015” Сценарий составлен учителем английского языка высшей квалификационной категории Кулеш Т.В. Цель: формирование социокультурной компетенции у учащихся Задачи: совершенствование навыков восприятия и понимания речи на слух, актуализация навыков монологической и диалогической речи, стимулирование интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка, развитие творческого воображения. Daniil: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Maria: We’re happy to greet you for the second time at our district song contest “School Eurovision 2015’’. The hosts for today’s show are Daniil Lazarenko, one of the cutest boys in school No. 7 … Daniil: and irresistible Maria Danilyuk and Yana Leshchinskaya! Yana: Eurovision Song Contest is one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world, with the audience, which figures up to 600 million internationally. It is annually organized by the European Broadcasting Union. Maria: The very first competition was held in 1956 in Switzerland ['swɪts(ə)lənd]. Seven countries participated in it. The 1956 Contest was won by the host nation, Switzerland. Yana: Now it is held in a different European city each year. Last year it was Copenhagen, this year it is going to be Vienna. Daniil: And we are holding School Eurovision 2015 in School Number 1 because your school student Anastasia Kravchenya won the district contest last year! (Nastya sings) Daniil: Please, give one more round of applause to Nastya! Yana: Since the 2002 contest, slogans (or themes) have been introduced in the show. Do you remember any of them, Masha? Maria: Certainly, I do. For instance, "A Modern Fairytale", "Magical Rendezvous" ['rɔndɪvuː], "Under The Same Sky", "Awakening", "Feel The Rhythm!", "True Fantasy" ['fæntəsɪ], "Confluence ['kɔnfluəns] Of Sound", "Share The Moment!", "Feel Your Heart Beat!", "Light Your Fire!", "We Are One"… Yana: In Denmark they invited us to join them and the 2015 slogan is "Building Bridges". Daniil, do you know what kind of bridges or connections there are between our country and the contest? 1 Daniil: Belarus has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest eleven times. Its debut ['deɪbjuː ] was in 2004. Our country entered the contest in the same year that semi-finals began and determined who would compete in the final. Maria: Belarus has so far managed to qualify for the final four times: in 2007 with Dmitry Koldun, in 2010 with band 3+2, in 2013 with Alyona Lanskaya and in 2014 with Teo. Yana: On the one hand, Eurovision Song Contest is an amazing performance. On the other hand, it’s a competition between countries. Daniil: In our case, between schools, Yana. So, why have we gathered today? Yana: Daniil, we have gathered today, because we LOVE MUSIC and we LOVE SINGING!!! Daniil: So welcome to our District Song Contest “School Eurovision 2015”!!! (applause) Maria: I think, it’s high time to greet our participants. Today there are nine of them. Daniil: The jury of the Contest are school students, teachers … and, of course, you, our dear spectators! Let’s get started! Oggi più che mai una rassegna globale, che vede protagonisti nel 2014 37 paesi aderenti all’ente organizzatore. L’idea venne nel 1956 a Marcel Bezençon, il franco-svizzero allora direttore generale del neonato consorzio: un concorso di musica con lo scopo nobile di promuovere la collaborazione e l'amicizia tra i popoli europei, la ricostituzione di un continente dilaniato dalla guerra attraverso lo spettacolo e la tv. E oltre a questo, molto più prosaicamente, anche sperimentare una diretta in simultanea in più paesi e promuovere il mezzo televisivo nel vecchio continente. Da allora, nel corso degli anni, la manifestazione è cresciuta in maniera costante, passando da evento da teatri e auditorium per un ristretto numero di spettatori a festa popolare. Dall’inizio degli anni 2000, quando la manifestazione comincia ad approdare nei palasport, negli stadi e nelle arene, l’Eurovision Song Contest è diventato un vero e proprio kolossal paneuropeo.
