KESHENA — It wasn’t a picture perfect start for the Menominee Indian High School football team, but the Eagles didn’t lose hope and eventually pulled away for a 27-12 nonconference win over Living Word Lutheran on Saturday. The game marked Menominee Indian’s return to 11-man football after spending the previous four seasons playing 8-man. Senior quarterback Tiger Dixon passed for 327 yards and three touch- downs to lead the charge for the Eagles on ofense. Senior running back Pasen Wau- poose also had a big game in the bal- anced Menominee Indian attack. He carried the ball 18 times for 102 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown run to cap the win. After Waupoose’s touchdown run, Living Word Lutheran decided to call the game with too many players injured. Sophomore Andre Corn hauled in fve receptions for 202 yards and a pair of scores, while sophomore Allen Menominee Indian’s Andre Corn, right, breaks away from a Living Word Lutheran defender during Saturday’s game in Keshena.
