Készült az MTA Könyvtára házi sokszorosító részlegében. - V - ELŐSZÓ Ezzel a füzettel ujabb részlete jelenik meg a "Vocabu- larium abbreviaturarum bibliothecarii" c. munkának. Ez a fü- zet egyrészt a közegészségügyi és közművelődési intézmények, másrészt a jótékonysági intézetek és szervezetek, illetve olyan társadalmi egyesületek névröviditéseit tartalmazza, amelyek jellegük alapján gyűjteményes munkánk egyéb füzetei- be nem voltak beilleszthetők. A tételek száma nem sokkal ma- rad el a 20 000-től. Mostani jegyzésünk is többéves gyűjtő- és feldolgozó- munka eredménye, - összeállításához elsősorban a nemzeti és nemzetközi röviditésgyüjteményeket, valamint a köaponti pe- riodikajegyzékeket és a mammutkönyvtárak nyomtatott kataló- gusait használtuk fel, de sokat merítettünk különböző speci- ális összeállításokból, sőt monográfiákból is. Gyűjtésünkben a megjelölt tárgykörben teljességre törekedtünk s mintegy 30 nyelv rövidítéseit vettük figyelembe. Könyvtári és dokumen- tációs célkitűzésűnkből kifolyóan gyüjtésünk nemcsak ma élő rövidítéseket tartalmaz, hanem a múltba is visszanyúlik, bár il^en vonatkozásban teljességre nem törekszik. A feldolgozás rendszeres az egyes rövidítéseket követi a feloldás, utána - amennyiben megállapítható volt - az il- lető testület székhelyének, esetleg országának megnevezése, majd annak a nyelvnek egy-két betűvel rövidített jelzése, am-lyből a rövidités származik. A székhelyül szolgáló, gyak- ran előforduló városok jelölésére szintén betüröviditéseket alkalmaztunk. A latinbetüs rövidítések feloldásánál az egy- öntetűség érdekében mi is követtük a nemzetközi rövidités- gyüjtemények azon gyakorlatát, hogy a partikulák kivételével mindén szót nagy kezdőbetűvel irunk. Ha ugyanazon testület- nek több sziglája is van, ugy a feloldást csak egyszer adjuk s a változatok mindegyikénél egyenlőségi jellel utalunk az alapalakra. Ha ugyanazon testületnek több nyelven van hivata- losan használt rövidítése, ugy a változatokról a különböző nyelvű rövidítések teljes feloldása mellett utalunk a főalak- ra. Ha egy rövidités változó alakkal ugyan, de azonos betü- értékkel /pl. csupa nagybetűvel, illetve részben kisbetűkkel stb./ is előfordul a gyakorlatban, a különböző formai válto- zatok feltüntetésétől eltekintettünk. Az egész anyagot két - latin és cirill - betűrendben - VI - hozzuk. Minthogy könyvünk elsősorban magyar használók részé- re készült, a latinbetüs ábécében a magyar nyelv sajátossá- gainak megfelelően az ö és ü betű külön csoportban követ- kezik az _o , illetve az u után. Ugy véljük, ez a betűrendi íltérés nem fogja zavarni a külföldi használókat. Az un. dia- kritikus jeleket a betűrendi beosztásban nem vettük figye- lembe. A cirillbetüs betűrendben természetesen önálló cso- portban szerepelnek az ukrán "i" és a szerb "j" betűvel kezdődő rövidítések. Minthogy kénytelenek voltunk lemondani arról, hogy u- gyanazon rövidítéseket több füzetünkbe is felvegyük, gyűjte- ményünk használóit arra kérjük, hogy a keresett tételnek szükség esetén a többi, rokontárgyu füzeteinkben is szíves- kedjenek utánanézni. Reméljük, hogy ujabb szerény füzetünkkel - hiányosságai és hibái mellett is - használható segédeszközt adhattunk az érdeklődők kezébe. Budapest, 1970. január 1. Az összeállitó •- VII - ПРЕДИСЛОВИЕ Настоящая брошюра является новой частей работы" vocabuia- rium abbreviaturarum bibliothecarii Эта брОШЮра СОДСржИТ СОКраще- ния санитарных, общеобразовательных, а также благотворитель- ных институтов и организаций, т.е. тех общественных объеди- нений, которых по своему характеру нельзя было включить в .другие брошюры сборника. Число названий приблизительно 20000. Настоящий сборник- результат многолетной собирательной и обрабатывающей работы. К его созданию мы использовали мно- гочисленные национальные и международные сборники сокращений, периодические издания и печатные каталоги больших библиотек, но мы много черпали и из разных специальных сборников и даже монографий. В составлении мы стремились - в данной сфере - к полноте и обработали сокращения 30 разных языков. Из наших библиотечных и документаттионных целей вытекает, что наша книга содержит не только живые сокращения но затрагивает и прошлое, хотя такого рода сбор не так систематичен. Что касается метода обработки материала: после отдель- ных сокращений следует их расшифровка, затем - в случае если была возможность это установить - указание местонахождения, возможно и страны, после чего указание одной-двумья буквами того языка, с которого сделан перевод. Для указания тех городов местонахождения, которых встре- чаем более часто, мы тоже использовали одну-две буквы. При обработке сокращений в интересе однородности мы следовали практике международных сборников сокращений, при которой в части, составленной латинским шрифтом, за исключением неск- лоняемых частей речи мы писали все слога с заглавной буквой. Если одна и таже организация имеет несколько сокращений с различными буквенными обозначениями, то полную расшифровку мы даем только для одной формы, а в отношении вариантов зна- ком равенства указали на место происхождения. Если у тех же организаций сокращение имеется на нескольких языках, то полной расшифровке вариантов даем и главную форму. Если кое-либо сокращение применяется на практике в различной форме но с теми же буквами /напр. полностью заглавными буквами или час- тично с незаглавными/мы вынуждены были в нашем сборнике от- казаться от приведения вариантов различных форм. Весь материал мы разместили в двух отдельных алфавитных порядках. Так как наша книга предзначена главным образом для венгров, то мы в латинском шрифте сохранили венгер- - Vili - скую специфику т.е. буквы "о" и "и* следуют после "о" и "и' в качестве самостоятельных букв. Думаем, что эта алфавитная специфика не причинит затруднения иностранным ученым. Так называемые диакритические знаки мы неучтилив алфавитном порядке. В русском тексте, само собой разумеется,отдельно фи- гурируют сокращения, начинающиеся с украинского 'V' и серб- ского "j". Мы были вынуждены отказаться от применения однозначных сокращений во все книги и поэтому просим специалистов поль- зующихся нашим трудом посмотреть искаемую и в других книгах намего "Vocabularium". Мы надеемся, что наша скромная книга, несмотря на ее недочеты, окажется полезным способием для интересующихся. Редактор - DC - PREFACE This fascicle forms an additional part of the work en- titled: "Vocabularium abbreviaturarum bibliothecarii".It con- tains the abbreviations of the names of cultural and public health organizations and of charitable associations and fi-> nally the abbreviations of the names of those organizations, which could not be inserted thematically into other fascicles of our work. The items of the actual fascicle run almost to 20000- Thi3 book is the result of many years' collecting and processing work. In compiling it we used first of all the national and international collections of abbreviations of periodicals and printed catalogues of the largest libraries, but we also made use of different special publications and monographs. In collecting the material we aimed at complete- ness concerning the subject matter in question and we took into account the abbreviations of some 30 languages. Our work being destined for use of librarians and as a documentation, we had to look for material also from the past, though this pat t of our compilation could not be as systematic as that of the living material. As regards the method of treatment of the processing ma- terial the abbreviations are followed by full names and wherever it was practicable, the residence or country of the in: titution and the letter symbol of the language the abbre- viation comes from. Frequently occurring names of towns of residence are abbreviated too. In agreement with the prac- tice of international dictionaries of abbreviations, in wri- ting out sigla of Roman characters, with the exception of particles the initials of every word were printed in capital letters. For several different abbreviations of the same institutions the full title has been given only once and at the variants a sign of equality points to the place where the full name is found. For abbreviations composed of the same letters but used in various forms /fully oapitalized or partly with lowercase letters/ we had to give up the inser- tion of all variants. The whole material is given in two alphabetical orders, Romanic and Cyrillic. Since our book is mainly for use of Hungarian specialists we have followed4the characteristics - X - of the Hungarian language, consequently

Seriously, pick yourself up off the ground and breathe. Giving up burgers is a big deal to a picky eater like myself. The way I see it, great burgers are an art form, taken for granted like a 1980s Hall and Oates song – always a reliable hit. As a reporter, I’m constantly on the run and getting a drive-thru burger is an easy fallback. As a regular guy, I look at a restaurant menu of what other people see as a display of delicious food and wonder what the hamburger tastes like. More often than not, someone says, “Like a burger.” And I respond, “Awesome. I’ll get that.” Sometimes I get an itch and just run out and a buy a burger. It’s really that bad. Of course, I like making burgers on the grill, too. It gives me that boost of feeling extra manly about my burger addiction. Lenten Fridays have always been tough for me.

Jonge mensen komen samen om te spelen, om te praten, om beweging te maken,… Chiro… en wij denken ook aan urenlang vergaderen, discussiëren, plannen, wikken en wegen, begrotin- gen opstellen, keuzes maken voor de toekomst,… Ook dat gebeurt voortdurend in Vlaanderen. Jongeren die samenkomen om ervoor te zorgen dat Chiro in beweging blijft… Een beleidsnota schrijven, bleek geen eenvoudige klus. Om die opdracht haalbaar te maken en op tijd rond te krijgen, werd er een schrijfgroep opgericht. Urenlang discussieerden we over de manier waarop we onze doelstellingen en acties zouden verwoorden, over de juiste vertaling van de missie en de visie van Chiro en over de andere hoofdstukken. Iedereen werd ingeschakeld om elk deel te toetsen, te verfijnen en op punt te stellen. Via allerhande kanalen werd deze beleidsnota een document van de hele beweging. Commissies, redacties en verbonden werden geraadpleegd en op de hoogte gehouden tijdens het schrijfproces. We wilden immers rekening houden met de manier van werken van honder- 2 den vrijwilligers. We wilden correct verwoorden waar zij en wij dagelijks mee bezig zijn. Het was niet evident, maar we hebben er veel van geleerd. We willen de komende jaren deze beleidsnota werkelijk gebruiken omdat we ervan overtuigd zijn dat lange termijnplanning in onze beweging noodzakelijk is.

Italian Catholics thus found themselves not only invoking the end of the conflict, but also expressing their evaluations on the choices made in international politics by the two superpowers. The positions assumed by the ecclesiastic Institution, the Christian Democrats and the Catholic world in Italy towards the war in Indochina were not identical: in fact, if—with a few exceptions—the ecclesiastic hierarchy was distinguished by its extreme caution, in the Catholic party different positions became manifest. It was mainly in Catholic associations, and in general amongst believers closer to the experience of the Vatican Council, that a radical sense of aversion to U.S. foreign policy developed. The Italian Church The sixties saw a period of profound change, not only in the West but in other continents, too: the civil rights movement in the United States, the battles against oppressive regimes in Latin America, the cultural revolution in China, the upheavals in Eastern European countries and the leading role played by young people all enlivened the decade. The Catholic Church was also marked by radical innovations with the pontificate of John XXIII and from 1962 with the start of the Second Vatican Council.
