Dr. Zankov, 8, 1421 Sofia, Bulgaria. In comparison with the Macrolpicoptera, the Microlepidoptera of Bulga- ria have not been studied in detail. Most of the species are reported from one single locality. The present work is a list of Pyraloidea captures from Bulgaria, Jugoslavia and Greece. The material for this publication was collected by the author during the period 1978-1982 from several parts of Bulgaria and in 1979 from Jugoslavian Macedonia. Further material from Jugoslavia was collected at the following localities : Kosovo-Pristina by P. Jaksic, v. Funtana near Poreck by E. Berio, and Titov Veles by J. De Freina. The material from Greece was collected in Monemvasia-Lakonia by G. Christensen. The lepidopteran fauna of the former military training area near Oleško (Czech Republic: Ústecký Region) was studied in the year 2008. This area is on sandy ground, the predominant habitats are dry Scots pine forests growing on sand. 700 species were recorded, many of them are markedly psammophilous. Some characteristic spe- cies are very abundant there, namely on open habitats Aroga velocella (Zeller, 1839), Teleiopsis diffinis (Haworth, 1828), Platytes alpinellus (Hübner, 1813), Pyrausta ostrinalis (Hübner, 1796), Paradrina selini (Boisduval, 1840), Agrotis vestigialis (Hufnagel, 1766), Eilema pygmaeolum (Doubleday, 1847), some other species were only recorded individually (Aristotelia brizella (Treitschke, 1833), Helcystogramma lineolellum (Zeller, 1839), Pediasia fasce- linella (Hübner, 1813), Lythria cruentaria (Hufnagel, 1767) and Hadena irregularis (Hufnagel, 1766)).

  • A Provisional Checklist and Bibliography of the Pyraloidea of the Balkan Peninsula (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae & Crambidae) by Colin W
Atalanta 49 (1-4): 219-263, Marktleuthen (1. September 2018), ISSN 0171-0079 A provisional checklist and bibliography of the Pyraloidea of the Balkan Peninsula (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae & Crambidae) by COLIN W. PLANT & PREDRAG JAKšIć received 28.V.2018 Abstract: A literature search was undertaken by us to locate all published data on the Pyraloidea (Lepidoptera: Crambidae & Pyralidae) of the Balkan Peninsula of south-east Europe. All known paper publications to the end of June 2018 were researched. All publications apparently containing relevant data were read and scrutinised by us and valid data extracted to a database. With the exception of the Fauna Europaea and Lepiforum websites, electronic sources were not searched, because initial examination suggested that these were likely to include non-corroborated data. From the results of this exercise, a checklist of 569 species of Py- raloidea recorded in the Balkans (310 Crambidae and 259 Pyralidae) was created along with a bibliography of the 426 works con- sulted. Forty-four of the species in the checklist (~8%) were not included for the same area in a 1996 European checklist; this may reflect a genuine change in the fauna over the last quarter century. Some updating of nomenclature and related matters has been undertaken, but we have done only minimal checking of the data itself to eliminate any incorrect records. It should be noted that no attempt has been made to determine if the listed species remain extant within each country at year 2018 nor is any comment made concerning present-day status of any species. Both the checklist and the bibliography are regarded as provisional; a database will be maintained by the authors and will be updated from time to time.

A checklist of the Microlepidoptera species recorded in Slovenia is presented. Each entry is accompanied by complete references, and remarks where appropriate. Until now, the data on Microlepidopteran fauna of Slovenia have not been compiled, with the existing information scattered in literature, museums and private collections throughout Europe. The present checklist is based on records extracted from 290 literature sources published from 1763 (Scopoli) to present. In total, 1645 species from 56 families are listed. Keywords: Microlepidoptera, checklist, Slovenia, fauna Izvleček. SEZNAM METULJČKOV (MICROLEPIDOPTERA) SLOVENIJE – Predstavljen je seznam vrst metuljčkov, zabeleženih v Sloveniji.
