The first of the series of speeches delivered in Madras by Bubu BepiD Ob«ndra Pal was on the "New Movement." Mr. G. Sabi-anaanialyer, b.a.. Editor of the Swadesa-Mithrau, was voted to the chair The New Movement. Mr. Subramania Aiyar, friends and fellow-conntrymen : When at the close of the last Seseion of the Indian Nationa* Congress iu Calcutta, I was asked to go over here on a short ' leotaring tour, and when in response to that kind invitation I agreed to do so, I did not expect the demonstration that I wit- nessed last evening while progressing along with you in a procession. I refuse to accept it as a profession organized iu my honour and, therefore, I say I was not prepared for the demonstration that I saw last evening. It was not in honour of any particular individual, but of the ideals of Swadeshi and Swaraj (Criea of Vande Mataram), to which reference has already been made by my friend in the chair. Nor did I expect such a large gathering as I see befoi«e me. I was fortunate enough to address very large audiences in Madras on previous occasions, bat this audience, I am called upon to face this eve- ning, is absolutely out of all proportion to what experience j had even in your enthusiastic city, 4 or 5 years ago.

  • Gajera Global School, Pal, E-Newsletter – Aug-Oct'19
Gajera Global School, Pal, E-Newsletter – Aug-Oct’19 1 Gajera Global School, Pal, E-Newsletter – Aug-Oct’19 2 MESSAGE FROM TRUSTEE “Only the people who take learning, growth and skill development into their own hands will be tomorrow’s leaders”- Allli Worthington My dear learned parents, educators and students, The first term of the session has come to a successful end. With the passage of time, we need to constantly adapt ourselves as knowledge is in a state of constant flux. The knowledge of yesterday is getting old today and we are discovering the world every moment. Tomorrow will be different from what we know today. In these changing circumstances "learning, unlearning and relearning" have become not only imperative but also inevitable. To keep up with these changes, Gajera Trust constantly tries to provide new platforms to learners to discover and invent themselves. Learners and parents should take advantage of it and construct a world where development is sustainable. To create awareness about the concept of sustainable development and a green earth, the Trust recently organized two inter-school events—Maker’s Day and Echo Business. Maker’s day was a celebration of Mother Nature while Echo Business was an attempt to brainstorm sustainable business ideas. The idea was to convey the message that business is possible without damaging the environment. Learners from all the campuses took part in the skill development activities which were designed to promote a sense of responsibility and belonging towards the society and the environment. They spent time together at Vatsalyadham and Lakshmi Vidyapeeth at Sarigam co-designing science and business projects.

The land of this country is also called as ‘Dev Bhoomi’. Its history is ancient and this land gave birth to great Saints, Scholars, Reformers, and Artisans etc. This country conveyed the message of ‘co-existence’, all over the world. The sword of ‘non-violence’ used by Mahatma Gandhi ‘The Father of the Nation’ to get India free from British Rule is praised all over the world. History is the witness that its rich heritage and hard labour of the people of this country had made this country as ‘Sone ki Chiriya’ which attracted the invaders to rob/ruin and to rule over this country.
