Aim:The study intended for myxosporidian and microsporidian species parasitizing some economically important marine fishes from the Red Sea in Egypt. A detailed description by means of light and transmission electron microscopy of the recorded parasite species was done. 1 CURRICULUM VITAE Dr. Kareem Said Morsy Associate Professor, Department of Biology, College of Science, King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia M.Sc. Study (Parasitology) Title: Studies on some external parasites infecting tilapia fishes in Egypt Aim: Studying the incidence, identification and morphological description of protozoan parasites and monogenetic trematodes infecting different fish species collected from two different ecosystems, the first ecosystem was represented by a location along the River Nile at Giza governorates, and the Pharonic Sea located at Menoufia governorate represented the other ecosystem. Seasonal incidences of the studied parasitic protozoans & monogenetic trematodes as well as histopathological changes due to infection were followed. Transmission electron microscopy of the investigated myxosporean parasite, analysis of some water parameters (water quality) and the incidence of parasites in the two selected ecosystems and determination of some heavy metals (Pb, Ni, Mn, Fe and Cu) concentrations in both water and fish samples were done Laboratory Professional Handling of expermintal animals. Experience High experiences in the parasitological techniques. An experience in the molecular, immunological and biotechnological techniques. An experiences in the analysis of different phylogenetic trees of parasites. High experience in the examination process of fishes and isolation of the different types of parasites for light and electron microscopy. High experience in the analysis of the SEM and TEM data. High experiences in the heamtological technigues on blood.
