Khalid Bin Ibrahim Bb Pejabat Dato' Menteri Besar Selangor Tingkat 21, Bangunan SSAAS 40503 Shah Alam Selangor Darul Ehsan YAB Tan Sri Dato', PER: BANTAHAN KERAS TERHADAP CADANGAN LITRAK MELEBARKAN LEBUHRAYA DAMANSARA-PUCHONG (LDP) KM. 6.8 - INTERCHANGE TAMAN TUN DR ISMAIL DAN DAMANSARA UTAMA Terlebih dahulu izinkan kami merujuk kepada surat-surat terdahulu yang kami lampirkan bersama-sama surat ini sebagai rujukan YAB Tan Sri Dato'. 2. Setelah sekian lama kami membantah projek LITRAK yang membawa kepada permohonan kami kepada YAB Tan Sri Dato' dalam surat bertarikh 21hb April, 2009 untuk mewartakan sebidang tanah di jalan SS21144 dan SS21131 sebagai "Green Lung Area", ia menimbulkan banyak persoalan dari jawapan dan kemarahan penduduk- penduduk setempat. 3. Sehingga kini kami tidak diberitahu secara rasmi bahawa tanah tersebut telah pun di wartakan sebagai rizab maksud awam oleh Kerajaan Negeri Selangor dalam tahun 1984 lagi. Maklumat ini hanya kami ketahui dari pihak ketiga. 4. Seterusnya, kami telah menulis surat kepada Datuk Bandar MBPJ pada 14hb September, 2009 untuk mendapatkan kepastian tentang kedudukan tanah-tanah tersebut kerana LITRAK mendakwa mereka mempunyai Right of Way (ROW), dan adakah MBPJ telah meluluskan projek tersebut kerana LITRAK telah pun memulakan pembinaan di atas tanah tersebut. 5. MBPJ melalui surat mereka bertarikh 30hb Disember, 2009 telah memberitahu kepada kami bahawa: a) MBPJ telah memanjangkan perkara ini ke Mesyuarat Tindakan Ekonomi Negeri Selangor (MTES) pada 5hb Ogos, 2009 untuk dipajakkan kepada LITRAK dan ditangguhkan atas isu penilaian tanah, b) LITRAK tidak mendapat kelulusan dari MBPJ untuk meneruskan projek tersebut. 6. Penduduk-penduduk disini amat dukacita kerana tiada ketulusan dan kejujuran dari pihak MBPJ mahupun LITRAK. Pertama, dari tahun 2007 lagi mereka berdolak dalik tentang status tanah tersebut dan isu ROW. Tidak timbul isu pajakkan. Kedua, LITRAK meneruskan pembinaan tanpa mendapat kelulusan dari MBPJ. Ketiga, jika Kerajaan Negeri Selangor meluluskan pajakkan tersebut, maka dimanakah janji-janji Kerajaan Pakatan untuk memelihara kawasan hijau yang semangkin pupus akibat pembangunan yang tidak seimbang. 7. Jesteru, kami dengan rendah hati memohon jasabaik dan keperhatinan YAB Tan Sri Dato' sendiri, untuk membantu kami memelihara kawasan tersebut dan seterusnya menghalang hasrat LITRAK dengan segera. Sebagai wakil kepada penduduk-penduduk Damansara Utama, kami ingin membawa perhatian Y.Bhg Datuk Bandar mengenai perkara di atas yang mana menerima liputan luas akhbar pada 29.8.2007. Sesalinan cetakan berita dari surat khabar Star dilampirkan bersama. 3. Sebagai penduduk-penduduk yang terlibat secara langsung dengan cadangan Litrak tersebut, sebelum berita yang disebarkan dalam akhbar, pihak Litrak TlDAK PERNAH memaklumkan cadangan atau mendapatkan pandangan kami mengenai cadangan tersebut. 4. Pada 30.8.2007, hanya setelah Ahli Parlimen Petaling Jaya Utara, Yang Berhormat Datin Paduka Chew 'Mei Fun menghubungi pihak Litrak, barulah pihak Litrak bersetuju untuk mengada perjumpaan dengan penduduk kami di pejabat YB Datin Paduka. 5. Dalam taklimat yang diberikan, pihak Litrak telah menunujukkan pelan menambahkan fly-over and perlebaran jalan di KM6.8 LDP dan juga mengutarakan beberapa alasan perlunya projek pelebaran lebuhraya yang mana pihak kami percaya ianya TlDAK BERASAS berdasarkan factor-faktor BERIKUT YANG MANA TlDAK DIAMBIL KIRA oleh pihak Litrak. ALASAN LITRAK & FAKTOR-FAKTOR BANTAHAN KAMf a) Jalanraya sesak ketika "peak hours" kerana banyak kenderaan yang menggunakan LDP ke TTDI, Bandar Utama, Kota Damansara, Kepong dan sebagainya 1. Sebagaimana Y.Bhg Datuk Bandar sedia maklum tidak ada jalanraya disekitar Lembah Kelang yang bebas dari kesesakan trafik pada waktu "peak hour". Tetapi faktor utama adalah bahawa kesesakan di KM6.8 LDP tersebut adalah disebabkan : I. Pemandu kenderaan memotong "Q" jalan berrnula dari underpass hingga berdekatan petrol station mengakibatkan kesempitan jalan; ii. Penduduk TTDI yang hendak ke TTDI akan mernbelok kanan di mana hakikatnya jarang sekali berlaku kesesakan dilampu trafik tersebut; iii. Apa-apa pembinaan fly-over menghala ke Bandar Utama dan pelebaran jalan di KM 6.8 LDP tidak akan dapat menangani masalah kesesakan lalulintas kerana punca kesesakan adalah di Fly-Over Bandar Utama, jalan masuk ke One Utama, Kota Damasara,Mutiara Damansara, Damansara Intan, Ikano, the Curve dan Tesco dan juga di jalan susur ke Damansara Perdana. iv. Y.Bhg Datuk Bandar akan mendapat garnbaran jelas sekiranya berpandu dari kawasan Sunway menghala ke Sri Damansara dimana "bottle neck" bermula di Fly-over berdekatan Sunway Pyramid, fly-over berdekatan Motorola, flyover berdekatan Giant Kelana Jaya, flyover berdekatan SS2 dan underpass berdekatan DU. Damansara Utama BUKANLAH PUNCA KESESAKAN JALANRAYA. V. Kesesakan juga didapati di jalan raya dalaman taman DU kini digunakan oleh pemandu-pemandu dari Bandar Utama, TTDI, Mutiara Damasara, Damansara Intan, Damansara Perdana,Sri Damansara dan Kepong dan sekitarnya yang masuk dari SS2111 dari NKVE sebagai jalan singkat untuk masuk ke Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong(LDP) untuk ke kawasan-kawasan yang disebut tadi. b) Kepentingan ribuan pengguna jalan raya LDP perlu diambil kira I. BAGAIMANA DENGAN KEPENTINGAN PENDUDUK DAMANSARA UTAMA? Pihak kami tidak kurang penting dalam dalam membayar cukai tanah, cukai pintu dan cukai jalan. Sernua pihak sedia maklum jalan lebuhraya LDP rnerupakan jalan biasa sahaja yang mana telah dinaiktaraf kepada sebuah lebuh raya. Rumah-rumah di SS21/31,21/44 dan SS21142A telah didirikan sejak tahun 1975 jauh sebelum wujudnya LDP: 2. Pengguni-pengguni rumah-rumah di jalan-jalan tersebut TIDAK INGIN MELIHAT lebuhraya berdepan dengan rumah mereka. Nilai rumah-rumah mereka pasti bersusutan apabila berada didepan lebuhraya. Jalanraya dalaman kini sudahpun sempit dan akan bertambah sempit jika perlebaran jalanraya dibenarkan. 3. Tanggapan bahawa dengan perlebaran jalanraya pasti mengurangkan kesesakan jalan raya tidak rnengambil kira bahawa kesesakan yang berlaku hanya untuk beberapa minit sahaja di KM6.8 tersebut. Apakah untuk keseiesaan pemandu- pemandu untuk beberapa minit dalam kenderaan yang mana tidak ada kena mengena dengan Damansara Utama adalah lebih penting dari keseiesaan hidup setiap hari penduduk di DU? DUROA- fowards a SAFE, CLEANAND HARMONIOUS COMMUNITY 2 C) Kecemaran jalanraya, udara akan terkawal I. Sekiranya lebuhraya dilebarkan, ianya pasti akan mengakibatkan barisan pokok- pokok hijau "green lung" di SS21/31, 21/44 dan 21142A hiilang selama-lamanya. Sekurang-kurangnya kini pokok-pokok tersebut membantu mengurangkan kecemaran udara berpunca dari habuk jalan dan asap karbon monoksid kenderaan dan juga kecemaran bunyi amatlah membirnbangkan penduduk kami. Banyak daripada mereka terpaksa menutup tingkap-tingkap dan pintu rumah bagaikan penjara. 2. Y.Bhg Datuk Bandar perlu ambil kira bahawa andainya lebuhraya tersebut dilebarkan, yang menjadi mangsa bukan sahaja penduduk DU tetapi kanak- kanak sekolah rendah dan guru-guru di Sekolah Rendah Damansara Utama. Mereka juga akan mula mengalami perbagai penyakit seperti lelah dan kesesakan nafas. Adakah kesihatan 1100 anak-anak yang baru sahaja menyahut kemerdekaan Negara ke 50 perlu menderita untuk membolehkan pihak

    Chew Mei Fun, The Right Candidate For Kajang State By-Election - BN Leaders Bernama 21 Feb 2014 KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 (Bernama) -- Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders unanimously supported the selection of MCA Vice-President Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun as the right candidate for the upcoming Kajang state by-election. People's Progressive Party (PPP) President, Datuk M.Kayveas described Chew, 50, as the suitable candidate due to her vast experience and capabilities. "She knows how to tackle the voters very well as she's been in the Federal government before. We have full faith in Chew as the right candidate for Kajang," he told reporters after the candidacy was announced by BN Deputy Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in Kuala Lumpur, Friday. Penang-born Chew worked as a journalist, a teacher and held various positions in the advertising and creative industry before venturing into politics in 1991. Her first federal government job was confidential secretary to the then Deputy Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister, Teng Gaik Kwan, after which she was elected as Member of Parliament for Petaling Jaya Utara from 1999 to 2008. Later, she was Parliamentary Secretary of the Women, Family and Social Development Ministry from 2004 to 2008 and in 2009 promoted to Deputy Women, Family and Social Development Minister after being appointed as a senator. She lost the Petaling Jaya Utara Parliamentary seat after two terms to DAP's Tony Pua during the political tsunami in the 2008 General Election. MCA President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the selection of Chew was a great honour for the party.

    Lapangan terbang seluruh negara selamat KUALA LUMPUR 28 Feb – Menteri Pengangkutan, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai hari ini memberi jaminan semua lapangan terbang di negara ini berada dalam keadaan selamat. Katanya, orang ramai tidak perlu bimbang dengan aspek keselamatan di semua lapangan terbang negara ini termasuk Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur 2 (KLIA2) di mana rakyat Korea Utara, Kim Jong-nam, dibunuh pada 13 Februari lalu. “Lapangan terbang kita selamat dan pemeriksaan mendapati tidak ada sebarang bahan toksik. “Kita mahu memberitahu orang ramai supaya jangan risau, tiada apa yang perlu dibimbangkan. Kita akan terus mengukuhkan tahap keselamatan kita dari semasa ke semasa,” katanya. Tiong Lai yang juga Presiden MCA ditemui pemberita selepas melancarkan Pusat Kajian Sosial dan Polisi Tun Tan Cheng Lock di Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) di sini, hari ini. Probably it can be delivered at a by-election such as this one," he said. Muhyiddin said Chew was a suitable candidate because she was not only experienced in holding a post in the government but also a person with principles as well as having a good character. This is evident during election campaigns. The study questions and identifies the different strategies that the DAP‘s (Democratic Action Party) leaders used in their blogs during the 2008 election campaign period, and investigates the different strategies that the DAP used in its party‘s website during the 2008 election campaign period. Data was collected using content analysis, thematic content analysis, and in-depth interviews research methods. Findings revealed through the analysis of the DAP leaders‘ blogs, DAP‘s website, and interviews with DAP leaders that DAP leaders did not fully utilise their blogs. In other words, new media was not an effective means for DAP in creating political awareness during the last general election. Findings also revealed that the traditional ways of campaigning, for instances, door-to-door visits and public talk, were still the main choices in the rural area where the Internet access was still not available. It was also revealed that lesser number of politicians blogged after the 2008 general election.
