Sebadoh (US), Legendarerna, Till Norden 2008-02-06 17:08 CET Sebadoh (US), legendarerna, till Norden Sebadoh (US) 1 maj - Köpenhamn, Pumpehuset 2 maj - Stockholm, Debaser Medis/Svenska Musikklubben 3 maj - Malmö, KB Sebadoh är bandet med stamina utöver det vanliga, ett band som upplevt allt från kasettbandspelaren till boomblastern, cd-walkmanen och nu slutligen i-poden. Allt började way back i tiden, redan 1983, när Eric Gaffney gång på gång sprang på Lou Barlow på diverse hardcore-spelningar. Först tre år senare, 1986, bytte dom kassettband med varandras musik, och bestämde sig för att göra ett par gig ihop och kanske nån inspelning. Lou jobbade då för fullt med ett annat projekt, som så småningom skulle få namnet Dinosaur Jr. I januari 1987 gjorde Eric och Lou ett par spelningar på diverse universitet, Eric på sång och Lou på ukulele. Dom släppte också sin första kassett ihop under namnet Sebadoh, ett nonsensord som Lou ofta brukade mumla under deras inspelningar och rep. 1988 hade duon med ett par låtar på The Freed Man- kasetten, som så småningom gavs ut som album på bolaget Homestead Records. Jason Loewenstein, den tredje bandmedlemmen i Sebadohs orginalsettning, blev involverad efter att Eric som var värd på den lokala studentradiostationen kommenterat ljudkvaliteten på ett av demobanden som kommit in, en demokasett som råkade vara en inspelning med Jasons dåvarande band, Dissident Voices. Jason ringde upp och ville ta ett snack med Eric, det visade sig att dom kom bra överens och ett år senare kom det sig så att Jason, Eric och Lou hade sitt första rep ihop. 1991 släpptes singeln ”Gimme Indie Rock” där Jason också var med och spelade. 1991 kom också bandets tredje album, ”Seabdoh III”, och strax efteråt bytte bandet skivbolag från Homestead Records till jätten Sub Pop. Åren 1992-2000 släppte Sebadoh fem plattor på Sub Pop; "Smash your head on the punk rock" (1992), "Bubble and Scrape" (1993), "Bakesale" (1994), "Harmacy" (1996) och "The Sebadoh" (1999). Redan vid releasen av "Bubble and Scrape" hade Sebadoh blivit ett band att räkna med, skivan såldes i över 10 000 exemplar redan första veckan och bandet hade redan tagit sig över Atlanten och turnerade med både Sonic Youth och Pavement. 90-talet var lite av ett enda långt tumult för Sebadoh. Eric Gaffney lämnade bandet 1993, ersattes av Bob Fay, som i sin tur kickades 1999 och ersattes av Russ Pollard, en gammal vän till Jason. Både Jason och Lou jobbade på sina soloprojekt vid sidan av bandet och år 2000 la dom så tillslut Sebadoh på is. 2003 och 2004 återförenades Jason och Lou för en kort serie livespelningar. 2007 bestämde sig Eric Gaffney, Lou Barlow och Jason Lowenstein för att gräva ner den gamla strids-macheten och ge sig ut på en rejäl reuniun-turné, och ställde sig i replokalen tillsammans för första gången på 13 år. Sub pops systerbolag Domino i Storbritannien gjorde en nyrelease på gamla hitplattan Sebadoh III och bandet erövrade ännu en gång alla mörka och halvsuicidala hjärtan världen över med sin lo-fi indierock. Reuniun-turnén 2007 gav bandet mersmak, och nu har det blivit dags för ytterligare en turné, så kamma snedluggen och ta på dig conversen, för det här är ett band du inte vill missa! Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis metafora yang sering digunakan dalam artikel musik majalah Rolling Stone Jerman adalah metafora kreatif dan terdapat banyak personifikasi.
