If so, please follow the link below to download the document directly from our website: https://bcpvpa.insite.com/files/assets/84/forweb-bcpvpa-leadershipplanningguide-june2020-revisedmay2021.pdf

1 - Vincent Tourvieille - SD93: Difficult conversations: "Crucial conversations - tools for talking when stakes are high" - Patterson

18-Jill Reid SD43 Coquitlam: that is an excellent point Christine

18-Jill Reid SD43 Coquitlam: Sorry - I must go check out someone jackhammering in my school - no reason I can think of for that:(

16 Yolanda Lehton Comox Valley: As a musician/music teacher and DND Reserve musician for 27 years I can tell you that O Canada only needs to be included in your assembly, but it does not need to be in any particular order of events. Generally, we play/sing the anthem when it makes sense as a respected part of the program. I do the territory acknowledgement first at all our assemblies and then O Canada after. Generally, it is also still before the main part of the assembly begins but sometimes it makes sense to do it a little later in the event.

3- Aaron Maxwell SD61 Victoria: I also think that this might be something that Chapter presidents and chapter council reps could be more responsible to share with their membership.

9 Charity Noxs Mooxs - SD 92-Nisga'a: Thanks Yolanda - our children sing O'Canada in Nisga’a, and we often include in our 'regular' events as well . . . when we have band classes, we will often include them playing it to celebrate our students - there is a beautiful rendition on a soprano sax that I included during a virtual assembly.

BCPVPA_Amorie Kruger: Please take a moment to turn your video off :)

Alana Rentz: References appreciated here - Thanks!

BCPVPA_Amorie Kruger: Just a reminder that if you are unable to turn your video back on after the panel, it is because I had to turn it off for you. Please log off and back on and that should allow you to turn your video back on. Thank you everyone.

16 Yolanda Lehton Comox Valley: O Canada: School Act section 5:10:C - (c) ensure that the Canadian national anthem shall be sung at each school assembly,

12 Kelly Charron SD73: thank you for all the great sharing!

Jill Reid: tip - make school twitter account generic enough that when you leave it can be transferred to the new principal:) (speaking from rookie move I made at my first school) - about the school and not "branded" to you:)
