DANISH+ - the only showcase of its kind in

From May 3rd to May 6th 2014 the theatre showcase DANISH+ takes place for the fourth time in , . The showcase presents the best of Danish theatre for children and young people for international buyers, festivals and programme makers from all over the world. The programme is in place for the fourth international showcase for Danish theatre for children and young people, DANISH+. The showcase takes place in Aarhus, Denmark, from May 3rd to May 6th 2014 and is the only one of its kind in Europe. This year 17 of the best new performances produced by Danish and artists are presented. All shows are performed in English. A Sales Fair DANISH+ is best described as a sales fair presenting the best that Danish theatre for children and young people can offer. Danish theatre for children and young adults has an outstanding reputation abroad and the promoter of the showcase, Teatret Gruppe 38, is held in great esteem all over the world. This was underlined when the theatre in 2011 won the prestigious ASSITEJ International President Award. Developing Rapidly Danish theatre for children and young adults is developing rapidly, and this has been noticed abroad. The export of Danish performances has increased year after year, and today more than 500 performances are played outside Denmark every year. This has meant that professionals, who are devoted to the presentation of theatre, are turning towards DANISH+. The latest edition of DANISH+ in 2012 was visited by 80 foreign presenters from countries like Australia, Canada, Brazil, Russia and China. The Programme is Ready The primary venues for the coming edition of DANISH+ will be Aarhus’ new culture production centre , BORA BORA – and Visual Theatre and Theatre FILUREN, which are all situated within two minutes from each other on foot. The programme for the three days offers 17 new Danish performances ranging from interactive travelling performances to modern dance, all presented in English. Compared to the previous editions of DANISH+, this years’ edition will also present a number of public performances, where audiences from Aarhus will be invited.
