Reception: Bill Frenzel Champion of Free Trade Award Secretary-General of the OECD, Ángel Gurría, and Ambassador Robert Zoellick, former USTR, accepted the 2017 Bill Frenzel Champion of Free Trade Award. Ambassador Carla Hills, recipient of the 2015 award and Chair of our advisory panel, presented the awards and led a panel discussion. The award honors the recipient’s contributions to international trade and highlights the importance of free trade for promoting economic growth, innovation, political stability, and alleviating poverty. The purpose of these events is to provide opportunities for business leaders in Minnesota to go to D.C. and connect with Minnesotans who work in Congress, the Administration, various federal agencies and NGO’s.
