Erected by Hugh MCCULLOCH, in memory of Agnes CLELLAND, his wife, who died at Burnfoot 4th February 1856, aged 40 years. John their son died at Village 14th December 1886, aged 35 years. The above Hugh MCCULLOCH died at Carsphairn 18th June 1899 aged 76 years. Janet MCKAY, widow of the above 1 John MCCULLOCH, died at Carsphairn 29th Sept. 1899, aged 46 years. Their eldest son Samuel CLELLAN died at Victoria Infirmary, Glasgow on 4th January 1915, in his 70th year. Their son Jane (sic) SLOANE MCCULLOCH, died at Carsphairn 20th April 1924 in his 69th year. Their daughter Mary MCCULLOCH who died at Risk Park, New Galloway, 4th December 1933 in her 91st year.

Also of Euphemia CLEMENT 2 GILCHRIST, his daughter who died at Meadowhead 23rd Sept 1878 aged 13 years and nine months. The above William GILCHRIST died at Drumness 2nd June 1910, in his 69th year. Also Elizabeth CLEMENT widow of the above Wm. GILCHRIST died at Drumness 28th July 1925 aged 87 years.

Front (A short column with spire) In memory of William CAMPBELL, long an elder of this Parish, one of the poor of this world, but rich in faith, who, by his industry brought up his family in comfort; by his piety trained them in the fear of the Lord, by his love of knowledge, urged on his two sons to learned professions; by his self acquired medical skill, proved a blessing to his neighbourhood and by his economy, was enabled to bestow much, both in time and medicine on many a sick and 8 dying brother. Died 1st Dec. 1829 in the 74th year of his age. (Left) Agnes BIGGS, wife of the late William CAMPBELL, died 7th August 1838 in her 78th year. Jacobina their second child died in infancy. Jean their fifth child died 30th Sept. 1837 in her 36th year and was buried at Traquair. (Right) Sarah CAMPBELL died 31st…….. 1857 aged 72 years.

Also Annie his daughter who died at Drumjohn 26th Oct. 1911 aged 74 years. And of Margaret his daughter who died at Drumjohn 7th Dec. 1912 aged 86 years. This stone is erected by James GORDON in memory of…..GORDON his grand father. And Agnes DUNN his spouse who both perished in passing the burn of 227 Lamloch house Aug. 1759 and also Will’m GORDON his father who died 18 July 1783 aged 59. And Mary GOUDIE his spouse who died 15 January 1778.

Erected to the memory of Ivie FERGUSON who died in Craigmalloch 27th May 1841 aged 55 years. Also Elizabeth his daughter who died 25th October 1841 aged 15 years. Also Sarah his daughter who died at Boatknow Dalry, 6th April 1860 aged 31 years. Also William, his son who died at the same place 14th May 1862 aged 27 230 years. Also John, his son who died at Boatknow 30th January 1869 aged 45 years. Also Wilhelmina POLLOCK, his wife, who was married secondly to William TURNER Boatknow and died there 10th July 1872 aged 70 years. Also Margaret FERGUSON their daughter, relict of Ivie DEMPSTER, who also died at Boatknow 4th July 1879 aged 49 years. Erected in memory of Rodger DUNN, who was born at Benwhat, Parish of Dalmellington 1659. He suffered much persecution for the cause of Christ and was killed 231 on the night of Carsphairn Fair June 1689 on the Farm of Brockloch. “Pluck’d from Minerva’s breast here am I laid, Which debt to cruel Atropos I’ve paid, Resting my clayey fabric in the dust, Among the holy ashes of the Just, My soul set sail for the celestial shore, Till the last trump the same with joy rested” Also Robert DUNN of Garryhorn who died Oct 6th 1738.
