Using voices and instruments, percussive and melodic, we will teach the basic fundamentals of our very own traveling, acoustic rock band. Students learn hands-on through a variety of popular songs providing education on rhythm, melody, harmony, technique, form and expression in the styles they Acoustic Rock choose. They will get firsthand experience practicing (and recording) partial and Band by Mode $245.00 K-2 complete songs, starting with covers and moving on to an original and/or parody Music of their own. All in-class materials will be provided and students will leave with a digital recording of their completed work. No music experience required. Welcome to the amazing world of yarn! You wouldn’t believe all you can do with yarn and thread with your tiny little hands. In this class we will do a host of different projects from loom knitting, finger knitting, needle knitting, crochet and After School hand embroidery. At the beginning of class kids will choose two projects to get Sewing Club by $225.00 1-5 started and will work on them until completion. When one project is done they get Made Sewing to pick a new project to expand their knowledge and skills in handmade art. No Studio previous experience is required, but it will be taken into consideration when choosing projects. All supplies and fun included.

Projects can be visualizations of favorite books like the “Harry Potter” series or their own version of popular puzzle Coding Club - apps like “Candy Crush” or “Angry Birds”. Shout it out Loud! This class is fun!! Public speaking has been rated the worst fear in adults. Why not conquer that fear as a child when inhibitions are low and learning new skills comes naturally? Our children will be required to make presentations and command an audience as soon as junior high. As they go through higher levels of education presentation skills become the key to success. In the tradition of school choirs, Mode’s Vocal Performance class gives students the choir experience with a Vocal Performance popular music twist. Students explore watercolor painting and self-expression through a combination of guided activities and open-ended experimentation that prompt students to explore a variety of techniques such as wet on wet, dry brush, mixing, blending, and elements of design such as color, value, shape, space, line, and texture.
