USA It is for me, on behalf of the organizing committee, a real pleasure to present to you this report today. Why? Because the enthusiasm we had when we started and the success we achieved we can proudly say that it turned out for us in a tremendous good feeling that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Introduction It all started in Peru at the first Encounter in 2009 where we proposed for Aruba to be one of the hostesses and we were granted 2012. Since hat time we were present at all Senators gatherings and gained our experiences. Committee The committee consisted of Senator Dominico Werleman, secretary, JCI Member and past JCI Vice-President Dave Martinus, treasurer, Senator Reginald Andrews, social director, Senator Lucia Croes, fundraising director, Ex JCI member and friends of the Senators of Aruba Vera Angela, director of logistics, Senator Clark Martina representative of ASAC, Ex JCI Member Stanley Dabian as director public relation, JCI Member Mariela Pieternela, Website coordinator and my person Senator Elva Angela, project director. Besides this team we received assistance during the execution week of Senator Jeansy Martina, Honorary Member Rita Loopstok and Leticia Quant. Program We made up a program with a lot of activities. Among others we had a tour around the island, a jeep tour on the north coast of Aruba, visited the Tobacco Farm and the Aloe Factory, we went sunset sailing and visited the National Park . The highlight of this program was the visit of our Prime Minister Mike Eman and his spouse Doina at our opening ceremony & dinner, where he gave a speech mentioning “that we are great leaders bringing light, where there is darkness”. He walked through the room and greeted every present personally. Another highlight was the visit to the Parliament of Aruba where we were attended by the President of the Parliament Mr. Paul Croes and the Parliamentarians. We had the honor to be seated in the Parliament room and our President Ray Brathwaite exposed what ASAC is, while National EVP Indira Abath gave a 1 presentation what JCI is all about Another important activity was the forum about the Tourism of Aruba as the economic pilar and the lecture about Green Energy. Further more we visited a lot of restaurant and we had also the home hospitality evening. We visited the Carubbian Festival and we attended an evening with folkfloric dances, Aruban music and Aruban food. We comply with a Green Senate project where we planted trees for the house “Trampolin pa Trabou”. Also the past presidents were recognized at the opening ceremony. At the closing evening something very nice happened . After the dinner and the official part we start with a party and danced a lot. The band played non-stop all kind of songs. We had a guest star with a hidden talent, Senator Hebron Adoptie who joined the band and presented a nice song for us.There was an energy of happiness in the room and everybody was shinning. Finance The finance of this project was US $ 30.000,-- We had a small deficit of US$1000,-- which we managed to cover with a small fundraising after the project. In total we had 3 fundraisings: one coffee morning, one bingo and a small raffle. Thanks to these fundraisings we were able to have a lower fee, all included, for our participants. In total 30 persons registered and attended the complete program, 8 committee members participated in almost all activities and we had about 25 persons who attended individual activities. All our expenses have been paid and we are happy for this. Public Relation We promoted the event at the Encounter in Pereira,Colombia, in Curitiba Brasil at the Area Conference 2012, in Curacao and we kept sending a lot of information by email.
