JUHA SALMINEN, MIKA AHOLA, IVAN CERVANTES and JOAKIM LJUNGGREN WORLD CHAMPIONS! This Saturday Will Enter Forever in the History JUHA SALMINEN, MIKA AHOLA, IVAN CERVANTES AND JOAKIM LJUNGGREN WORLD CHAMPIONS! This Saturday will enter forever in the History of world enduro as the day of the quadruple crowning of Juha Salminen, Mika Ahola, Ivan Cervantes and Joakim Ljunggren in their categories. This first day of the GRAND PRIX AMV OF FRANCE was also marked by the hegemony of French riders with the successes of Marc Germain, Johnny Aubert and Sébastien Guillaume in front of their home crowd. ENDURO 1 By letting his adversaries fighting for the victory and finishing third, Juha SALMINEN (FIN- KTM) ensured enough points to win the word title in ENDURO 1. This 7th crown made of him the Greatest Rider Of All Time in Enduro. Juha SALMINEN: “After 2 years in the USA I!m back in Europe and I!m first. Of course it!s great. In the beginning of the year I thought it would be boring a little, it looked likes it was easy, but I did not plan I would be injured. I was lucky this year, this injury came to the complete right time, I had 5 weeks to recover. Now, I!m world champion again and it!s great.” Fighting for the day victory, Marc GERMAIN (FRA-YAM) and Simone ALBERGONI (ITA- YAM) had to decide between themselves in the last test of the day. The French imposes himself for 2.62 seconds and signs his first success in 2007. ENDURO 2 To be crowned, Mika AHOLA (FIN-HON) had to finish 6th.. By ending fourth, the HM Honda rider wins the first world title of his career, after 5 second places. Mika AHOLA: " Today I felt like another person, I don!t remember almost everything about today. I was so scared to break the bike that I decided to take it easy, and it was really a strange day for me. I was waiting for that for 11 years, since my first win. I knew I could win but I had some bad luck and many different tings. Let!s say this year I was ready.” The victory of the day returns to Johnny AUBERT (FRA-YAM). The thousands spectators particularly appreciated the 100% French duel which opposed him to Fabien PLANET (FRA-KTM), second for 18.15 seconds. 2006 champion Samuli ARO (FIN-KTM), third, sportingly greeted the crowning of his compatriot Mika Ahola. For their third appearance this season, Joel SMETS (BEL-BMW) and his 450 BMW finished in the 16th place. The main absent of this French round is the double motocross world champion Michaël PICHON (FRA-KTM). The French hurt his knee on Thursday while testing his bike in the Training Test. The rumors tend to confirm his presence for a full season on the 2008 WEC. ENDURO 3 Ivan CERVANTES (ESP-KTM) won today his third consecutive title and the first one in the E3 class. The Spaniard, second of the day, once again ensured the show from the special test special to his triumphing arrival under the KTM motor home. Ivan CERVANTES: "I am very happy to win this third title, because it really was a hard year for me, with the changing of category. I did not think I could win in the beginning of season, I hoped I could fight for top 3. It!s marvelous and I want to thank my mechanics, and the team in general because I!m not alone. It is really splendid what happens to us.” Cervantes crowning did not eclipse Sebastien GUILLAUME!s (FRA-HVA) encouraging victory. The Husqvarna rider ran after this success since the beginning of the season. By finishing third, Marko TARKKALA (FIN-KTM) becomes the E3 vice-champion. JUNIOR Joakim LJUNGGREN (SWE-HSB) decided to put an end to the intense suspense of the Junior class. The reigning champion realizes the exploit to defend his 2006 title. Joakim LJUNGGREN: "It was incredible. I had a very big fight with Christophe Nambotin all the day and I knew I had to finish in front of him. All the fans were pushing him but I was also strong. In the last test he was in the lead for one second and a half. It was “do or die”. I beat him with three seconds, I win the day and also the championship, I!m so happy.” Second of the day, Christophe NAMBOTIN (FRA-GAS) becomes also world vice- champion of the world. Tom SAGAR (GB-KTM) ends third. --- Until the last extreme test of the season, the BMW MOTORRAD XTREME TEST AWARDS will stay undecided. If Bartosz OBLUCKI (POL-HVA) imposes himself, the classification is always to the advantage of Mika Ahola. Find all the information and results of MAXXIS FIM WEC on www.abc-wec.com .

WEC NEWS APRIL The WEC TV show in Catalunya and Chile The WEC TV programs will be diffused on two additional channels in 2007, the Spanish regional television TV Catalunya and the Chilean channel Motors MAS. Motors Mas involvement bears witness to the increasing interest of Chile and South America for enduro, 7 months before ISDE in La Serena on November. With TV Catalunya, the WEC will touch directly the heart of Spanish “aficion” for motorsports, among them many supporters of Ivan Cervantes. Thanks to the collaboration of ABC Communication and Motors TV, the MAXXIS FIM WEC goes on being exported, with reinforcement in Spain and new prospects in South America. A weekend of “world first” The Grand Prix Scott of Sweden, opening round of the 2007 season, was the weekend of “world first” for many riders. First GP for Fred Bolley, Rodrig Thain, Luigy Seguy, but also: • First full marks for Marko TARKKALA (FIN-KTM), victorious on Saturday and Sunday for the first time in his career • First podium for his compatriot Tomi PELTOLA (FIN-SUZ). The 2004 Polish ISDE revelation took time to concretize all the hopes placed in him. After mediocre years with Husqvarna, he finally signs his first podium at 25 with Suzuki Kalinen. • First podium for the promising Robert KVARNSTRÖM (SWE-KTM). 2nd on Saturday, this 17 years old rider represents with Joakim LJUNGGREN (SWE-HSB) the future of Swedish enduro, after the Bergvall-Carlsson- Eriksson era Benoit Thibal seriously injured French Junior Benoît THIBAL (FRA-Gas Gas) has been victim of an accident in France while preparing for the WEC on last Sunday.

FIM World Enduro Championship 2009 Metzeler Leading Top Spots in all Three Classes nd after 2 Weekend of World Enduro Competition With variable weather conditions at the Spanish track, Metzeler riders on both Honda and KTM machines win on extreme terrain Igualada, Spain, March 28-29 Metzeler was out in force at the second race of the Iberian Peninsula tour – HM-Honda's Mika Ahola left the Spanish GP with a strong lead in the E1 World Enduro Championship, while the E2 and E3 classes were colored by KTM riders Johnny Aubert and Ivan Cervantes , whose closest competition is none other than their teammates. Contrary to the Ahola ’s unmatched performance in Portugal, the mixed and often difficult Spanish conditions just 60 km west of Barcelona gave the competition an opportunity to raise the game as Albergoni ran past Ahola for the Sunday win, by a margin of over 17 seconds. Add this to the excellent tests run by Aubert and Cervantes , Metzeler and KTM shared a very nice sweep of the three classes for the two races of the 2 nd weekend of the World Enduro Championship. Day 1 The first day of ENDURO 1 was marred by midday rain, and with a 70km route through the mountains near the Catalan town of Igualada, it Finnish rider Mika Ahola leads the E1 class after two weekends of competition. was a long day for all teams. The lead riders Mika Ahola (HM-Honda Zanardo) and Albergoni (KTM Factory) seemed to have the best setups all day, swapping times and positions several times before Ahola programmed his last enduro test like an engineer for a win on the day.
