Sana Kisan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiyasanstha Ltd. S S 2001 2001 Preface Sana Kisan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiyasanstha Ltd. (SKBBL) in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel in Nepal has been carrying out “Small Farmer Agriculture Training Program” in different training institutions/colleges of Israel to learn modern agriculture practices and technologies adopted in the agriculture sector in Israel. The youth of 22-30 years belonging to small farmer families affiliated to Small Farmer Agriculture Cooperatives Ltd (SFACLs) participate in this 10-11 months long training program. In the past 5 years, 2140 trainees have returned back to Nepal after successful completion of the training program. Currently, 537 trainees from 55 districts are undertaking training in five different colleges/training institutions in Israel. Since the trainees do have the opportunity to work in the farm to earn for five days and one day for learning in the classroom this program is named as “learn & earn program. Against this backdrop, this program is expected to bring meaningful and positive changes in the agriculture sector of Nepal. The trainees’ directory is specially prepared to let the stakeholders know about the program in more transparent way and at the same time create the roster of the Israel trainees. Furthermore, the directory we expect will be helpful to Israel returnee students to connect with each other and share their ideas, expertise, experience and knowledge. Last but not the least this directory may also be a great help to investors, development partners and other stake holders. This program is supposed to be instrumental towards attracting youth in agriculture and has also been a motivation for farmers to adopt commercial agriculture/livestock as a money making business. Background 2. The sub project road is a part of a larger main road project called Sadhutar – Madanpur – Laxmipur – Gherabari Road. This 43.5 km long main road comprises 2 sections: first one starts from Gherabari and ends at Chakchaki VDC while the second one starts from Chakchaki and ends at Sadhutar of Khudunabari VDC.

However, there are still many challenges related to equity when the net enrolment data are disaggregated at the district and school level, which are crucial and cannot be generalized. As per Flash Monitoring Report 2014- 15, the net enrolment rate for girls is high in primary school at 93.6%, it is 59.5% in lower secondary school, 42.5% in secondary school and only 8.1% in higher secondary school, which show that fewer girls complete the full cycle of education.
