This will be our 4th year holding the Automobilia AUTOMOBILIA AUCTIONEER Auction and will include auctioning a 1988 Fleetwood Brougham. HAMPTON ROADS REGION LIAISON As in previous years, we are asking for donations such as books, GEORGE BOXLEY vintage posters, die-cast cars, usable Cadillac/LaSalle parts, etc. NEWSLETTER COLUMNIST RITA BIAL-BOXLEY 1 Starting with the 2007 Spring Car Show, a vehicle receiving NEWSLETTER COLUMNIST “Best of Show” may also receive an award in its class, but will CHRIS CUMMINGS not be eligible to receive “Best Pre War” or “Best Post War” at CAR SHOW DISPLAYING/PARKING DERRICK FISHER the same show. Vehicles that are awarded a total of two “Best CAR SHOW DISPLAYING/PARKING of Show” awards shall be considered as “Emeritus” vehicles, NEWSLETTER COLUMNIST eligible for special recognition, but no longer eligible to be judged JIM GOVONI in its class or in any “Best” class. Emeritus status remains with CAR SHOW SPONSOR AND HOST DANIEL JOBE & CAPITOL CADILLAC the vehicle and shall not be affected by change in ownership or registration at a future car show. Both of these events are held at the Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA. On Saturday, June 9th the selected car clubs will participate in our Car Club Day. Participation in this show will allow you to show your car on our concours show field on Saturday. By participating in the Saturday Car Club Day, the car owner will receive two free tickets for the Sunday Concours show. The cost for the Saturday Car Club Day is $10 per car. An additional Saturday activity will be our Car Tour to downtown historic Bethlehem. After parking in the blocked off center square you will enjoy breakfast and shopping in the unique local shops. The Car Tour will return to the Saturday show field, and each tour car will receive two free tickets for the Sunday Concours show. Cost of the Saturday Tour package and breakfast is $50 for the car and driver, and $25 for each additional passenger. The Car Club Day registration form should be completed and returned to the Burn Prevention Foundation, 236 N.17th Street, Floor 2, Allentown, PA 18104. DIRECTOR’S REMARKS: Potomac Region Member Myron Pauley died on March 13th at the age of 92. A tribute will appear in the April newsletter. The presidential limos story from our March newsletter was picked-up by Hemmings and posted on their Internet blog. As a result of this exposure, activity on our website peaked at 6,322 hits on March 7th (usual volume approx. 1,000/day). SECRETARY’S REPORT: The Minutes from the February meeting were not read since they had been published and distributed to all members in the March, 2007 newsletter. TREASURER’S REPORT: The Treasurer’s Report covered the time period from the February meeting to date. Harry Scott reported that the Region’s income was $40.98. The total expenses for the same time period were $461.97.
