  • 4L60e Service Manual
4l60e service manual Continue In the early 1990s, there was a problem with the development of a heavy automatic transmission that could be used in Hummer cars equipped with powerful petrol and diesel engines. A fundamentally new four-to-one automatic transmission 4L60E has been developed, which has received a reinforced hydroblock and a special pump design, which allowed to provide quality lubrication of the engine. To ensure quality transmission significantly increased channels of lubricant of solenoids. This required the use of updated and enlarged solenoids. It should be noted that some functions of transmission modification are controlled by electronics. In total, the automatic transmission makes a positive impression. It is reliable and capacity. This means you can repair the GM 700R4 automatic transmission. Transmission 4L60E problems At the same time, it must be said that due to the increase in the size of the repair of the automatic transmission 4L60E this modification is more difficult. Demolition of the transmission is a laborious task, which is done only under the power of special equipment. Self-sufficient repair of the automatic transmission cannot be performed. 11 Historic Philippine Presidential Cars We Love Ref.: http://www.wheninmanila.com/11-historic-philippine-presidential-cars/ June 12, 2015 Article By: Adrian John Ladaga. Today is the 117th Independence Day of the Philippines, and in more than a century of being a free nation, we dig up some of the most important pieces of history. We focused our research on the cars that were used by current and previous presidents as they offer a gateway to the lives and duties of the busy and well-travelled heads of our state. These presidential cars have served as official carriers of the nation’s top leaders, and have witnessed some of the most critical events in the country’s history. The president’s car must not only keep its VIP passenger safe, but also exude grandeur and authority. After all, it works as an extension of the powers and responsibility of the person inside. 11 Historic Philippine Presidential Cars We Love 11. Emilio Aguinaldo – 1924 Single Six Packard Model 226 After more than 300 years of being under the control of Spain, Emilio Aguinaldo was officially recognized as the president of the first republic. He had a short term from 1899 to 1901 during which he did not have an official presidential car. Aguinaldo, however, owned a 1924 Single Six Packard Model 226, a seven-seater limousine. It runs on a 4.3-Liter engine that provides 55 horsepower and was restored by the Vintage Car Club of the Philippines and the Philippine Motor Association. The car is on display at Aguinaldo’s mansion in Kawit, Cavite.

  • 1941 Buick Roadmaster Sedan from North Carolina by Earl D
The Story of our 1941 Buick Roadmaster sedan from North Carolina By Earl D. Beauchamp, Jr. If I had to go back to the very beginning, it would be 1952 when I was 14 years old. That is when I first became virally interested in old cars. Now old cars, to me, were the years I remembered during my short lifetime, which was the 1930s and 1940s. Most of the books and magazines of the time, specifically MOTOR TREND, dealt with cars specified as “Classic Cars”, as defined by the fledgling Classic Car Club of America (CCCA). I religiously read Robert Gottlieb’s monthly column called “Classic Comments”. Around 1953 Mr. Gottlieb wrote and published a book called “Classic Cars”. I believe it was in that book where he made the statement that “no Buick was ever a “Classic Car” or something to that effect. Well, my family was a Buick family, or had been until hard times caused my parents to trade their 1939 Buick in on a 1951 Plymouth (in 1958 they went back to Buick for the rest of their lives). That statement by Mr. Gottlieb stuck in my young craw, and I never got over it. In 1955 I was allowed to get my first car, and it was a 1939 Buick Special sedan optionalized with dual sidemount fenders and a full pleated leather interior. It had belonged to a family friend. Now, I was convinced this car had to be a “Full Classic” and I wrote to Mr. Gottlieb and asked him. Then, in 1956 he wrote a second book called “Classics and Special Interest Cars.” Although he never answered my letter; in that book he mentioned a car like mine and said it was not a “Classic” but would be considered a “Special Interest Car”.

  • 1.02 1953 Through 1958
General Information on Makes & Models 1.02 1953 Through 1958 The "Nailhead" V8 is Introduced In 1953, Buick joined the V8 army with the introduction of their new V8. The engine was rather unique in that it used a radical combustion chamber borrowed from four-valve overhead cam (OHC) racing engines, but with only one side of the pent roof chamber containing valves – and those were activated by pushrods rather than overhead cams. (See discussion in the Engine Section) The chamber did allow higher combustion ratios than were feasible with other engines, and as a result the Buick mill made good horsepower when introduced, with the 322 cubic inch motor making 180 HP in the 1953 Roadmaster. With the new V8, whatever excitement had been missing was back in 1953. For the first time ever, all Buicks shared a common 1953 Buick Nailhead intro brochure wheelbase. Also to celebrate Buick's 50th anniversary, the Division released an "Anniversary Convertible", known as the "Skylark", available for a cool $5,000, which would be about $150,000 in today's money. As such, only 1,690 were sold. But because of their cost and cache, today many still survive and are in great demand by collectors. Refinement and Power Drive Huge Sales Increases Buick chassis engineering, which could have only been described as "ponderous", began to catch up with the new V-8 in 1954. The new cars were lower and wider, with greatly improved handling. And for the first time, even the Special had V-8 power. The Anniversary Convertible returned as just the Skylark, though it sold in even lesser numbers Regardless, '54 was a smashing sales success.
