ABSTRACT – Three new species and one new record of the eriophyoid mites from Iran are described and illustrated. They are Aceria chenopodia n. sp. on Chenopodium album L. (Chenopodiaceae), Aceria mashha- diensis n. sp. on Polygonum arviculare L. (Polygonaceae), Tetra ferdowsiensis n. sp. on Ulmus minor Mill. (Ulmaceae), and Aceria fraxinivora (Nalepa, 1909) on Fraxinus excelsior (Oleaceae). All the new species described herein are vagrants on the host plant. A checklist of eriophyoid mites from Iran was provided. Key words – Acari, Diptilomiopidae, Eriophyoidea, Phytopidae, taxonomy, Iran, new species, checklist. ÜYESİ RANA AKYAZI) Bu çalışma, 2016-2017 yılları arasında, iki vejetasyon dönemi boyunca, Ordu ilinin, Altınordu, Akkuş, Ünye, Fatsa, Ulubey, Kumru, Perşembe, Gülyalı, Kabadüz, Çaybaşı ve İkizce ilçelerinde yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada bu bölgede yetiştirilen sert çekirdekli meyve ağaçlarında bulunan faydalı ve zararlı akar türleri belirlenmiştir. Örneklemeler, erik (Prunus domestica L.), kiraz (Prunus avium L.), vişne (Prunus cerasus L.), şeftali (Prunus persica L. Batsch) (Rosaceae) ve kızılcık (Cornus mas L. (Cornaceae)) olmak üzere 5 farklı meyve türünde yürütülmüştür. Çalışma süresince, toplam 176 mahallede, 474 adet örnekleme yapılmıştır. Örneklemeler her yılın Mayıs, Kasım ayları arasında, aylık periyotlarla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmalar süresince, 3 takıma bağlı 11 familyadan toplam 37 tür tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar içerisinde, 4 familyadan 11 tür bitki zararlısı, 6 familyadan 25 tür predatör ve 1 familyadan 1 tür ise nötr akar türüdür. Bitki zararlısı akarlar içerisinde en yoğun türler Tetranychus urticae (Koch) ve Amphytetranychus viennensis (Zacher) (Trombidiformes: Tetranychidae) iken, en baskın predatör akar türleri sırasıyla Tydeus californicus (Banks), Tydeus goetzi (Schruft) (Trombidiformes: Tydeidae) ve Transeius wainsteini (Gomelauri) (Mesostigmata: Phytoseiidae) olarak belirlenmiştir.

[email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] RESUMEN. El objetivo principal de este estudio fue evaluar la diversidad de arañas del Área Natural Protegida Isla Quevedo. Se realizó un estudio comparativo de la riqueza y abundancia del orden Araneae en 3 tipos de vegetación: matorral espinoso, manglar y dunas. Los especímenes colectados se obtuvieron mediante 3 métodos: colecta manual, red de golpeo y trampas pitfall. Se obtuvieron 302 arañas en total, todas del suborden Araneomorphae, pertenecientes a 10 familias, 17 géneros y 22 especies. En el matorral espinoso se registraron 14 especies, 5 de las cuales se comparten con el manglar. Las 22 especies determinadas representan el primer inventario del orden Araneae para la isla. La mayor riqueza y abundancia se registró en el matorral espinoso, seguido por el manglar y después las dunas, lo cual comprueba que las arañas son abundantes en zonas de vegetación diversa. What does the reproductive ecology in the crowns of temperate forest trees look like? These connected questions intrigued researchers before and since Darwin but it is only in the last years that a direct study of the latter question has been enabled. A research crane was used to study the flowering ecology of Fraxinus excelsior, Acer platanoides, Acer pseudoplatanus and Tilia cordata in Leipzig’s floodplain forest. These species originate from hermaphrodite insect pollinated plant families and exhibit different grades of gender separation and different stages between insect and wind pollination. As they are typical elements of temperate deciduous forests, an ecological comparison of their flowering ecology may shed new light on the evolution of gender separation and wind pollination in this habitat. Using the crane, gender distribution, flowering phenology in relation to microclimate, pollination levels (including pollen tubes in the styles) and fruit set were studied in ca. 200 trees over 2-4 years. Main results are a new appreciation of the sexual system of Fraxinus excelsior as dioecy, of Tilia cordata as andromonoecy and a detailed description of the intricacies of the heterodichogamous sexual system of Acer pseudoplatanus.
