WEBSITE: WWW.SFDSNYC.ORG Tithe.ly We have learned about a company called “TITHE-LY” and we want you to know that we are switching to this new company. These are the reasons for the switch: Tithe-ly is: 1. More user friendly on both the donor’s end and the parish’s end. 2. Rates charged to parish for contributions is much less, 2.9% with Tithe-ly as compared to 4.1% with WeShare. 3. Ability to access your financial giving history for tax purposed with greater ease. As we mentioned already here in the bulletin, we have certainly heard, (and experienced ourselves!!) that WeShare has been a less than optimal giving platform for our parish. Not surprisingly, it may not be as easy as we'd like for you to take yourself OFF WeShare, should you be ready to join us in our new Tithe-ly program. Hospitality Plus! We are in need of volunteers on Monday evenings (7pm) to help set up a welcoming table for our initiation meetings with our catechumens and inquirers. If you like to bake, or buy cookies/snacks…if you would like to get to know some new parishion- ers, if you are outgoing and extroverted…we would love to have your help with hospitality. Speak with Jayne for more details. If you would like to know more about other ways to participate in welcoming new parishioners, in English or in Spanish, we are always looking for new team members. Please speak with Jayne or Martha, or email us at [email protected] or [email protected]. Digital Ministry We are called to spread the Word. In the twenty-first century, the Word is online! As part of our dig- ital ministry, there are roles for you in the following capacities: SOCIAL MEDIA: We meet monthly to plan the social media calendar and generate posts for our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. CONTENT: Are you creative? Interested in getting to know fellow parishioners? We are always in need of written content for the blog, event summaries, upcoming events descriptions, and parishioner spotlights as well as photographs. AUDIO (recording the homily on Sundays at the 11am and 12:30pm Masses): Help get our message out to the world! Technical expertise (or enthusiasm for those who aren't tech- savvy) welcome. Step-by-step training is provided. A minimal time commitment is required after mass to edit/upload recordings. Contact [email protected] to discuss how you can share your creative skills and enthusiasm through Digital Ministry! ReUnite Us Now-NYC will meet every Monday at 6:30pm in the parish hall Follow the discussion on social media: #ReuniteUsNowNYC #ReúnenosAhoraNYC It’s Not Too Late Renew and Rebuild If you have been away and missed your chance to make your pledge for our RENEW AND REBUILD CAPITAL CAMPAIGN— FEAR NOT! All inquirers welcome! Music Ministry News Hello St. Francis, As you may have noticed, we have some beautiful new choir chairs that are debuting this week. This is both very im- pressive that your perception is so keen, but, could have only been assisted by the fact that not all of the chairs are be- ing occupied by members of the Music Ministry. With this in mind, the Music Ministry would like to invite you to give these new, beautiful and incredibly comfortable chairs a try. All that is required of you is a willingness to pray through song with us at Mass. These custom chairs will fit the contours of both singers and instrumentalists and are ready and waiting just for you!!! The summer is the perfect time to give it a shot. During these summer months we have a very casual pick up/ come when you can choir at the 11am Mass. So, in the words of the icon, Mr. Rodgers, "Will you be mine, won't you be mine, won't you be my choir...with new chairs!!!"
