Research Activities

The main research activities are conducted at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Salerno, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Enzo Martinelli and Prof. Dr. Ciro Faella and at the Laboratory of Numerical Methods in Engineering (LMNI) of the University of Buenos Aires (FIUBA) and at the center CEMNCI (Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering) of the National University of Tucuman (UNT), in collaboration with Prof. Guillermo ETSE (UNT) and Prof. Paula Folino (UBA). The topics of the research activities are listed as follows:

Theoretical and numerical analyses of structural members made out with fiber reinforced concretes;

Investigation of concrete structures externally reinforced with FRP sheets and/or plates; Theoretical and numerical analysis of concrete with recycled components. Multiscale modeling of concrete hydration and heat transfer
