Renewing of Community Speedwatch and investment in systems and services to support growth. • CCTV. o St Ives: £13,911 (already live) Cameras 6 o Wadebridge: £14,829 (already live) Cameras 6 o Bodmin: £12,087 (funding committed go live in March 2019) Extra Cameras 1 o Penzance: £7,950 - 4 extra cameras – (already live) Extra Cameras 4 o St Austell: £15,000 (committed – final quotes being sought) New/upgraded 10 o Mobile Cameras– £9,000 for 2 cameras (+CFRS-2) (committed) Cameras 4 o Other towns being costed plus expanding Tolvaddon capacity Total 31 • Councillor Advocates Scheme – 27 councillor advocates in Cornwall • Estates: Liskeard, Bodmin OPCC Commissioning and Grants Specific to Cornwall: Funding 2018/19 Allocation Community Safety Cornwall CSP received: £448,636 – helping to fund a number of key Partnership (CSP) services including; Sexual violence and Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding and Substance Misuse. This funding has been used as follows: £277,794 – domestic violence and sexual abuse services £9000 – domestic homicide reviews £130,436 – substance misuse services £16,500 – CSP intelligence and analysis £14,906 – training for professionals and communities on threats Safer Towns Programme In January 2018 the PCC committed £50,000 seed funding contribution launched by Cornwall to support the 10 Safer Towns: Bodmin, Camborne, Falmouth, CSP Liskeard, Newquay, Penzance, Redruth, Saltash, St Austell and Truro. Each town was awarded: £5000 to each scheme. Shopwatch Growth In January 2018 the PCC committed funding in the sum of £9,000 to enable the growth of Shopwatch by the Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in St Austell, Penzance and Truro. Youth Offending Service Cornwall Youth Offending Team received: £160,224 - The PCC intends to maintain funding at the 2017-18 level for two financial years to ensure service delivery in this area can be maintained. Ministry of Justice funded The OPCC were awarded £234,238 for a pilot to deliver an Outreach Support Service Outreach Support Service for women across Devon & Cornwall which is funded until March 2020. The funding has been divided equally across the three organisations that form the OPCC created Alliance. In Cornwall this is: Women’s Centre Cornwall (Bodmin) who will employ 2 workers to cover North and South Cornwall. Crimestoppers Manager for The PCC has provided £20,000 funding per annum to support Devon and Cornwall the appointment of a dedicated Crimestoppers Manager to work with local communities and Crimestoppers volunteers in D&C to enhance the presence and impact of Crimestoppers locally and to support local community campaigns. The new manager took up their post in December 2018. January 2019 .
