The final journey which our Lord makes, to his subsequent execution by crucifixion on the Cross. Of course, this is not the end of the journey the end comes with the Resurrection on Easter Sunday. For today we reflect on the Passion, the suffering that Jesus endured so that he might win for us Salvation. On Friday we will listen to another version of the same journey except through the eyes of John. We are all on a journey through life and the journey we take differs for each one of us, yet for all of us here today it is not only the journey through life, but it is the journey as a follower of Christ. It is a journey which will have its ups and downs, its good times, it bad times, it joys, its suffering, its laughter and its tears. Yet by the suffering of Christ our journeys will all end with eternal life, with Our Father in heaven, because our salvation has been won for us by Jesus.
