Post Show Report 2017 EN 1.7 MB 11-th AZERBAIJAN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION EXHIBITION The Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition is the largest event in the sphere of education organized at the state level with the official support and participation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It has been successfully held since 2007 with the constant growth. During this time the exhibition proved itself to educational institutions and private companies as a reliable foundation and main arena for the annual presentation of educational services for students in Azerbaijan, as well as meetings with industry experts to establish new business contacts and strengthen existing ones. This year the 11th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition was held from 6 to 8 October in the exhibition complex Baku Expo Center. The general sponsor of the exhibition was Kapital Bank. PROGRAM IN THE FRAME OF THE EXHIBITION Press Conference A press conference dedicated to the opening of the 11th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition was held on October 5 at 12:00 at the Park Inn Hotel (Azadlig 1 Avenue) in the Nasimi Hall. The Deputy Head of the Science, Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Ministry of Education Shahin Bayramov, Head of Marketing Department of Bank Capital Gunel Farzalieva, Executive Director of Caspian Event Organisers Bahruz Gidayatzade and Project Manager Alina Potokina took part in the conference. Opening Ceremony On October 6, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Mikayil Jabbarov and the regional director of the Caspian Event Organisers company Edward Strachan took part in the official opening ceremony. The festive atmosphere was complemented by musical, dance and entertainment programs prepared by the participants of the exhibition - higher education institutions and projects of the Ministry of Education. Gala Reception The traditional reception followed after the first day of the Education Exhibition and provided an opportunity for participants to communicate in a relaxed informal atmosphere and relax while watching the evening program. There event was held at the Hyatt Regency in the Hotel / Grill restaurant. PROGRAM IN THE FRAME OF THE EXHIBITION В2В meetings For the first time the program in the frame of the Exhibition included B2B meetings organized specifically for participants with local representatives of educational agencies. Numerous requests for the organizing of this event next year indicate a high assessment by the participants of the level of organization and effectiveness of the participation. Seminars Within the framework of the exhibition the following seminars were held: - "My future profession and the path leading to it" - "Application of a visa for the purpose of studying in the European Union and the features of the EU Visa Code" (ICMPD) - EBRU Seminar for Teachers of Saghlam Tahsil - Seminar on Pedagogy of Healthy Education in private schools and universities Excursion A special excursion to the museum was organized for the participants after the second day of the exhibition. The guide acquainted with all the exhibits, providing detailed information and interesting historical facts about each of them. According to the feedbacks of the participants the event left vivid impressions and the day ended in a pleasant friendly atmosphere.     22nd Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition Post-show release CASPIAN CONSTRUCTION WEEK The Caspian Region’s largest building exhibition, BakuBuild 2016, the 22nd Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition opened its doors on 19 October at Baku Expo Center. BakuBuild is the most important trade event in the region for building and architecture, and design and renovations. Every year, professionals from a range of different countries attend the exhibition to find business partners. Start of BakuBuild 2016 marked the beginning of Caspian Construction Week, comprising of Aquatherm Baku 2016 and Securika CIPS 2016 exhibitions. The official opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Mr. Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Head of the Agency for the control of security in the building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Mr. Elkhan Asadov, vice-president of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic Vugar Zeynalov and Executive Director of ITE Group – Mr. Edward Strachan. Speakers noted the important role of the exhibition in the development of the construction industry of the country, the transformation of a modern infrastructure of Azerbaijan and noted the importance of professional contacts and exchange of experience between the industrialists and businessmen of different countries. This year Caspian Construction Week gathered 292 companies from 24 countries and occupies 2 pavilions and Lobby of the Baku Expo Center. Iran, Italy and the UAE will have national display booths, and Turkey hosted a large stand as well. French companies presented group stand. Azerbaijani companies made up 50% of exhibitors. The Sponsors of BakuBuild 2016 were Corella (NB Group), and Akkord Cement, and the media partner of the exhibition was the trade magazine “House and Interior” (“Dom i Interyer”).

    22nd Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference Post-show From 29 November to 2 December in Azerbaijan capital city Baku hosted Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference, Bakutel 2016 officially launching the ICT Week. Every year for over 20 years, Bakutel, the largest exhibition in the region, has been bringing together leading players of the communications market. As the main arena for presenting IT products and services, Bakutel had acquired status as the main business platform where new contacts and businesses are created. The Ministry of Communications and HighTechnologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan has provided invaluable support to Bakutel. The show is also respected globally and is supported by institutions, such as the United Nations, the International Telecommunication Union, the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) and the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. The organisers of the event are Iteca Caspian and Caspian Event Organisers (CEO). This year, Bakutel coincides with celebrations for the 135th Anniversary of Communications in Azerbaijan. One hundred and thirty five years ago, the Nobel Brothers laid the first telephone line in Baku and, since then, Azerbaijan has had its own place in the history of the communications industry.     PRESS RELEASE LEE YI SHYAN MAKES AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO AZERBAIJAN, 19 TO 20 SEPTEMBER 2013 Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Mr Lee Yi Shyan visited Baku, Azerbaijan from 19 to 20 September 2013, to promote greater economic engagement and ties between Singapore and Azerbaijan. As part of his visit, Mr Lee also attended the opening ceremony of the new Keppel-State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) shipyard on 20 September, alongside Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and Keppel Corporation Chairman Dr Lee Boon Yang. The economic and bilateral relationship between Singapore and Azerbaijan has been growing in the recent years with Ministers from the two countries making official visits on both sides. Several Singapore companies like Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd and Franklin Offshore Group have established a presence in Azerbaijan, supporting the operations of large oil and gas companies. With Azerbaijan’s growing economy, there are opportunities for closer collaboration between Singapore and Azerbaijan and for Singapore companies to explore business and investment possibilities in the Azerbaijan market. The new Keppel-SOCAR shipyard is one such example. The shipyard is a joint venture by Keppel Offshore & Marine (a subsidiary of Keppel Corporation), SOCAR and the Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC). “Azerbaijan has developed rapidly and its GDP has grown 3.45 times in the last 10 years. The country is making deliberate and sustained investments in infrastructure and capacity building as ways to diversify its economy, adding to oil and gas. Baku itself has been greatly modernised and transformed. He has written for theatre plays and for cinema.
