26 Hi Everyone, Firstly, I would like to start by paying my respect to the past, present and the future of the Darkinjung people of who’s land we are playing on today and wish all teams the very best and hope you all have a great day. My name is Ian Naden, I am a very proud Wiradjuri man from Peak Hill in Western NSW I have been on the coast for 27 years and class this as my home. I have played rugby league on the coast with many Aboriginal players that have sadly passed away and this is why I have organised this round of football so that we can honour our past and future Aboriginal players and help the reconciliation process while we are at it. It is with great anticipation from myself to see this great game of ours help celebrate the Aboriginal people of this country and I would like to thank you all for your support in something that I am so passionate about. I would like to thank the Central Coast Division Rugby League and all the clubs for allowing me to do this as well as the people of the Central Coast. In conclusion, I would like to thank the two main sponsors for the day Bungree Aboriginal Association Inc and Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council, if it was not for their support I don’t think this wonderful spectacle would go ahead.
