The inaugural event took place at the New York Public Library, with host Kylie Minogue presenting the Piaget Award of Inspiration to Ricky Martin and Jean-Paul Gaultier. The “Black Tie/Black Leather”- themed night also featured a performance by Cyndi Lauper and a runway show starring 52 of Wilhemina’s top models, who were outfitted by world-renowned designers. In 2011, the fashion show theme was “Black Tie/Hot Metal” and in 2012, the designers highlighted athletic- inspired styles. Domenica sono andata con Piero a vedere un bosco in Slovenia, di solito la gente normale passa le domeniche in famiglia o va in giro, io, invece, le passo nei boschi Eravamo in un posto che è tagliato fuori dal mondo e dove non c’era il guardrail…solo Piero è capace di trovare posti così sperduti e dimenticati?? All’inizio ho pensato di non pubblicare queste foto, perchè non sono venute proprio benissimo, le abbiamo fatte velocemente, perché fuori erano quasi 0 gradi. Spero che comunque vi piacciano. Na zacetku sem mislila, da ne objavim teh fotografij, ker niso prov najboljse, smo jih na hitro naredili, ker je bilo odzunaj okrog 0 stopinj. -

ET's Kevin Frazier Flies With the Angels as Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Heads to London 4:09 PM PST, December 01, 2014 Forty-seven Victoria's Secret Angels headed to London for the VS Fashion Show and ET's Kevin Frazier flew in style with the models. Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima, both 33, will be hanging up their wings this year, and we were there for Adriana's lingerie fitting in New York before heading across the pond. "The outfit itself is like a corset dress with details for lace and leather -- like shiny leather and it's something that I love," said Adriana. Adriana's outfit is just one of 81 that viewers will see on the runway for the Dec. 2 show. The event will also include a return performance by Taylor Swift with Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Hozier also on the bill. After the fitting it was on to the U.K. via a special Victoria's Secrret flight. "Everywhere you turn there are models," Kevin observed. "That's just how it works on this flight." Before boarding, Kevin and the Angels took plenty of selfies forr the old scrapbook. "Usually I see you holding a microphone," Adriana told Kevin. "This is the first time I've seen you holding a camera." Once on the plane, Kevin was tucked in by Alessandra and Adriana. "You all need to take a nap," Alessandra advised before the six-hour flight. "Here you go," Alessandra said, placing a blindfold over Kevin's eyes. The tricky part came when they touched down in London and had to get 47 models and their entourage through customs. -

Thursday, December 10, 2009 NEWS&FEATURES NAIT mascot tragedy By ryan fLAherty NAIT is mourning the tragic loss this week of the school’s mascot, the Ooklet, who died while attempting to fly. The circumstances surrounding the tragedy are still somewhat unclear, but investigators are hoping that the results of an autopsy, expected some time next week, will help fill in the blanks. So far, all police are willing to say is that some time between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. last Saturday evening, the beloved blue owl climbed to the top of the parkade outside the Industrial Technical building and proceeded to fling himself off the upper level, dying instantly upon impact. One witness, who asked that her name not be published, said that every- thing happened quickly. “One minute I saw the Ooklet high- fiving a bunch of basketball fans outside the parkade, the next thing you know I see him hitting the ground,” she said. “He pretty much exploded into a ball of blue fluff and foam rubber.” Authorities are still piecing together the timeline leading up to the Ooklet’s Photo illustration untimely demise. -
