History of the Cadillac XTS Masterpiece The Masterpiece nameplate was introduced by S&S a century ago. Originally released in 1919, it featured a hand-carved, twelve- column design, and a mahogany interior with burnished nickel and silver-plated fittings. In 1929, S&S introduced a revolutionary Town Car design with “The Angel of Memory” cast bronze body- side sculptures. The modern era Masterpiece was reintroduced in 1993, and now, 100 years after the original introduction, S&S is releasing an all-new S&S Masterpiece with commercial glass styling and luxurious interior appointments.
