HIST1H1D, ID (HIST1H1D, H1F3, Histone H1.3, Histone H1c, Histone H1s-2) (APC) Catalog number 036581-APC Supplier United States Biological Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H1 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails but instead contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is found in the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6. Applications Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, FLISA Recommended Dilution FLISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50 Storage and Stability Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Immunogen HIST1H1D antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 134-164 amino acids from the Central region of human HIST1H1D.
