RAPIDS YOUTH SOCCER CLUB EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Youth Soccer Club (the Club) is a 501(c)(3) organization serving approximately 5,000 players from ages 4 through 18. Our mission is to provide an environment where young soccer players from diverse backgrounds are guided and inspired to reach their full potential both on and off the field. The Club has a longstanding history and established a partnership with the Colorado Rapids resulting in one of the only full service youth soccer clubs partnering with an MLS franchise that offers programs from U4 through U18. Additionally, the Club is the sponsor of programs involving gifts from foundations including the U.S. Soccer Foundation and local Colorado-based foundations.

We are seeking an Executive Director (ED) to be our Chief Executive Officer with full responsibility for the Club’s operations. The ED will report to the Club’s Board of Directors. Primary responsibilities of the ED will include the development of board, staff, and volunteer infrastructure, strategic planning for long-term sustainability, building and developing strategic partnerships, financial administration, overseeing design and delivery of quality programs, and fundraising for our non-profit organization. Ideal candidates will be those who embrace the mission of the Club which encompasses athletic, educational and community-impact values consistent with the Club’s current and future objectives.

Strong candidates will possess the following qualities and background:

• Non-Profit Management: Prior leadership experience in non-profit management, including financial responsibility, strategic planning, human resource management and operating leadership

• Fundraising: Demonstrated fund raising experience, with emphasis on foundation grant-seeking and grant writing, and securing sponsorships with corporate and small business sponsors

• Financial Administration: Experience in financial stewardship, including responsibility for budget development, management and achievement

• Personal passion for youth development through sports

• Community Outreach and Relationships: Strong relationship management skills to serve as chief liaison with key partners including the Colorado Rapids, Kroenke Sports Enterprises, KSE Charities, U.S. Soccer Foundation, America SCORES , Aurora Parks and Recreation, Denver Parks and Recreation, Aurora Public Schools, Denver Public Schools and other local and national organizations

• Staff Management: Experience developing tools, systems and benchmarks to work with staff in executing on operational and strategic objectives and to further promote the environment and culture of excellence and collaboration among the Club’s staff

• Programming: Managing and expanding the Club’s range of programs by working with staff to provide high quality training for coaches and players, securing facilities and increasing developmentally appropriate league and playing options to provide an appropriate pathway for the broad range of players served by the Club

• Growth: Expand the Club’s reach into new communities and to attract new constituencies

• Administrative, Operations, Marketing – Manage administrative process and procedures including information technology platforms, social media tools and other infrastructure to provide a high level of customer service to ensure a strong experience for players, families and partners.
