We realise that it might be difficult to remember when you are with your friends but it is important that you do behave well. Remember that in your uniform, you represent us all. Your behaviour on the way to school or home, will always be reported to us. Be safe, stay within your year group. Sanitise your hands and wear a mask on public transport. Respect members of the public and their right to safe transport. Say ‘Good Morning’. Cross the line ready to learn - with the correct uniform and mindset. We are happy to have you. We believe in you. If you have a problem, let us know now – let us help. Show us that you are ready to learn. Be silent. Be in order. Face forwards. Listen attentively. Travel in the most direct route to your lesson. Follow the one way system. Do not wait for your friends. No physical contact. Keep noise levels low Sit where you are asked to sit. Remain in your seat for the whole lesson. Listen actively to the teacher and peers when they speak. Take turns in speaking during class discussion. Track the teacher around the room. Complete the exit ticket. Tidy your things away. Stand behind your chair and tuck it under your table. Leave the room when the teacher tells you to. Exit quietly and calmly. Queue patiently. No physical contact. Use manners when ordering food. Sit within your bubble. Clean up your own mess. Well done for a positive and productive day. Leave quickly and quietly. Do not wait for your friends. Remember that whilst you wear your uniform; you represent us all. Tomorrow is a fresh start. Enjoy your evening and come back refreshed. Points will be given in lessons for: ▪ completion of class and homework to an exemplary standard and pace. ▪ outstanding behaviour and learning. ▪ surpassing of targets for learning, achievement and behaviour in class. Outside of lessons achievement points will be given for: ▪ being helpful and courteous. ▪ good character (i.e. an example to other pupils). ▪ presentation of assemblies. ▪ assisting in extra-curricular activities. Individual pupils will collect achievement points which, on a termly basis, can earn certificates and rewards: ▪ 50-99 points will lead to a Bronze Award. ▪ 100 – 199 points will lead to a Silver Award. ▪ 200+ points will lead to a Gold Award. ▪ 250+ points will lead to a Platinum Award. STAR Diploma The Star Diploma is a nationally recognised award operated across all academies in the Star Trust across the country. There are three elements to the Star diploma: ▪ Outstanding Attendance ▪ Excellent behaviour ▪ Character Development Non Negotiable >Zero tolerance for behaviour. >Holiday during term time. >Appointments during the school day ** >Extreme hair cuts and uniform. >Attendance during Academic PRM, Parents Evening and Pastoral Review meetings. >Attendance and Punctuality to school ( by 8:15am) Uniform >There will be a smart uniform which includes: Blazer, shirt, Tie jumper, trouser/skirt, bag, black shoes and socks and plain black/navy coat. >The P.E. kit will be an Academy long sleeve polo shirt, short sleeve polo shirt, tracksuit bottoms or shorts and sports socks. Pupils will also need trainers. Uniform Mobile Phones >Mobile phones are not required for learning >Please do not allow your son/daughter to bring a mobile phone to school Mobile Phones > Mobiles phone are not allowed in school, if brought into school they will be confiscated > If you parents wish for you to carry a phone to and from school. They must write to school to request this. The phone will need to be handed into school reception before school and collected at the end of day.
