The path includes “Walk across Kentucky,” an educational exploration of the various specimens of trees, shrubs, grasses, and other plant life native to one of the seven physiographic regions of Kentucky. Kids of all ages will love the Kentucky Children’s Garden. Home to many different breeds, large and small, the park introduces you to the world of the horse. Experience the behind- the-scenes sights and sounds of a real working horse farm as you explore the grounds. Kentucky Horse Park tickets include admission to the world-renowned International Museum of the Horse, the American Saddlebred Museum, a Horse-Drawn Tour, and equine presentations throughout the day. Attending races at Keeneland is a favorite pastime in Lexington! Bring the whole family to enjoy the horses, pageantry, and tradition! Gates open at 11 a.m., and post time for the first race is 1:05 p.m. Races run throughout the day approximately every half hour. General admission is $5 per person; children 12 and under are admitted free. Other seating options are available. The collection includes significant examples of painting, sculpture, works on paper, and photography. Visitors can also enjoy our sculpture garden, directly outside the museum’s entrance. 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Family Weekend Welcome (W.T. Young Library) Kick off Family Weekend with a stop at the William T. Young Library to pick up the official Family Weekend Guide. Enjoy Kentucky cuisine, grab some giveaways, take a family photo in our photo booth, and learn more about UK and Lexington at the resource fair and at the Faculty and Family Gatherings, where UK faculty members will share their expertise on topics of local interest! This year Family Weekend is being held the same weekend as UK’s Homecoming! Hosted in conjunction with the UK Alumni Association, the UK Parent and Family Association is excited to welcome students, families, and alumni to this fun, free event!

5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Big Blue Pantry Food Drive (W.T. Young Library) Help support students in need – donate to the Big Blue Pantry! The Big Blue Pantry serves UK students experiencing food insecurity by distributing non-perishable food items. Bring a canned good, a jar of peanut butter, or a monetary donation to the Family Weekend Welcome and receive a UK t-shirt (while supplies last). As a special treat for Family Weekend guests, any UK student wishing to bring their family to the game can get four guests in for free in addition to the regular free student admission (with a valid UK student ID). Additional tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children. They must put their differences aside and work together to make it to the trial on time. Free for students and families. (Rated R, 1 hr. 58 min.) 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 7 p.m.) | UK Opera Theatre presents La Traviata (Singletary Center for the Arts) La Traviata is one of the cornerstones of the operatic repertory. The score is littered with fantastic tunes that are now wildly famous (even those who aren’t at all operatically versed will know many of the arias from countless TV ads) but beyond that it is the coherence of the whole piece that makes it a masterpiece. In the 1980s, he is a broken, confused man under the 24-hour watch of shady therapist Dr. Eugene Landy. (Rated PG-13, 2 hrs. 1 min.) UNIQUELY LEXINGTON Lexington is known as the Horse Capital of the World. The Bluegrass Region is also home to a rich history, tradition, and a beautiful landscape of rolling hills. (Tent located at the corner of University Drive and Cooper Drive on Pieratt Fields – also known as Johnson Center Fields) As we get ready to watch the Cats take on Missouri, enjoy a delicious meal, caricature artists, inflatables, Crank and Boom ice cream, giveaways, and more! This is the only place to get the official Family Weekend 2017 t-shirt! There will be something for Wildcat fans of all ages! Even if you are not attending the game, you are welcome to attend. Tickets are $25 per person. All attendees (including students and children) must have a ticket for admission.

You are encouraged to purchase tickets at your earliest convenience. The Parent and Family Association cannot guarantee availability; ticket availability is limited by the capacity of the tents. When you look at the sun exclusively in the color of ionized hydrogen, you see things that cannot be seen with simple white-light filters. Clear Bag Policy

Each fan will be permitted to carry one large clear bag – either a one-gallon Ziploc-style bag or a 12” x 6” x 12” clear bag – plus a small clutch that does not exceed 4.5” x 6.5”. The small clutch allows privacy for small personal items and is also easily searched.

Guest Services

University of Kentucky Athletics strives to ensure a positive game day experience for all fans. While inside Kroger Field, Guest Service Desks are available to assist you with questions or concerns you may have while attending a game. Outside of Gates 1, 4, 9 & 12; Inside on the lower concourse near sections 6, 16, 26 & 36; on the upper concourse near sections 206 & 226.

Interior Guest Services locations open two hours prior to kick-off when gates open and remain open until the stadium is clear of all spectators. Exterior Guest Services locations open 5 hours prior to the event start.

Guest Service locations inside Kroger Field provide:

• Brochures containing maps, diagrams, and other important game day information • Assistance with location of seats, restrooms, ATM’s, and other areas of Kroger Field • Lost-child wristbands - parents may wristband their children and register contact information with guest services to facilitate a quick recovery of lost children, should the situation arise. • Any and all questions or concerns regarding game day experiences.

Guest Services staff including ushers, ticket takers and security officers are available to assist guests throughout the duration of the event.

9 PARKING INFO

More than 40,000 people a day visit the University of Kentucky – even more on weekends with special events like football games or Family Weekend. While parking lots are spread throughout campus, please realize that you may have to park a short walk from your destination and allow extra time.

– Most employee lots and student commuter lots are accessible and available on weekends, with the exception of lots surrounding Kroger Field and on Sports Center Drive. Permits are not required after 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoons until 5 a.m. Monday mornings in many North and Central Campus E (employee) and C (commuter) lots.

– Signs are posted at the entrance of each lot to make you aware of parking regulations and any permit requirements.

– Do not park in R (residential) lots.

– Spaces for visitors with disabilities are located throughout campus in close proximity to entrances of university buildings. These spaces, however, typically require an ADA accessible permit issued by UK Transportation Services (TS) or a gate attendant. During Family Weekend only, TS will allow use of state-issued ADA accessible permits. Ride-Sharing UK Athletics has worked with Lyft and Uber to establish a ride-sharing pickup and drop-off point on football game days. The loading and unloading zone is located on Sports Center Drive near the Woodland Glen dorms. Lyft and Uber drivers should proceed down Huguelet Drive, right on University Drive, left on Complex Drive and left on Sports Center Drive to pick up passengers, then right on Woodland Avenue after pickup.
