Transhumanism and Immortality Marie Koh September 17, 2018 Whether we like it or not, the hybrid age is already here. From genetic manipulation, to AI technology, to nano-technology, robotics, 3D printing, brain mapping, super computing, the list is literally endless. Futurists and Transhumanist philosophers believe that science and technology are limitless, and that humanity's current cultural traditions and mindset are the mechanisms in place that prohibit human development. Mankind has experienced formidable technological growth in the past from the early ancestors to the Agrarian Age, the Industrial Age in the 18th century, and the Information Age in the 1970s, from their point of view, we are simply going through another revolutionary leap into what they call, the Hybrid Age. The Transhumanist Movement, also known as H+ is an intellectual, cultural and political movement that supports technological enhancements in the human body through the use of genetics, robotics, synthetic biology, AI technology among others to modify the physiology, psyche, memory and progeny of a human being and ultimately achieve immortality on earth, (a procedure they believe can be reached within the next decade) whereby human consciousness can be uploaded into a robot, cyborg or possibly, a human clone. The sci-fi novel "Altered Carbon" by Richard K. Morgan captures a cornucopia of technological concepts that are, believe it or not, in experimental stages across the globe, methods such as: human hybridization, CRISPR-technology -- Chinese scientists have used CRISPR for gene-editing on 86 human patients; limb regeneration, bionic augmentation, the making of super-soldiers, cloning, Cryonics and the growing interest in information- theoretic death, neuropreservation, suspended animation, molecular nano-technology and so on. Sounds far-fetched right? When teenagers today can go online and purchase a gene therapy kit on Amazon under $200 and utilize it in the comfort of their own home without specialized assistance, life in a genetically modified world doesn't seem so far off. Whether we are aware of them or not, some of these options are on the market, with others in progress -- all of them exerted into the commercial world without transparency to users in regard of their long term safety. The corporations promoting these products have no clear guideline as to what repercussions genetically modified humans beings could potentially have on a global scale. Perhaps there are some well meaning Tranhumanists out there who genuinely care about mankind's wellbeing, however, the more one learns about Transhumanist philosophy, it becomes evidently clear that the movement is essentially atheistic, Socialistic, eugenic in its beliefs and practices, and backed by a Globalist network. Here is Max More's basic definition of the Transhumanist philosophy: Transhumanism can be viewed as an extension of humanism, from which it is partially derived. Humanists believe that humans matter, that individuals matter. We might not be perfect, but we can make things better by promoting rational thinking, freedom, tolerance, democracy, and concern for our fellow human beings. Transhumanists agree with this but also emphasize what we have the potential to become. Just as we use rational means to improve the human condition and the external world, we can also use such means to improve ourselves, the human organism. In doing so, we are not limited to traditional humanistic methods, such as education and cultural development. We can also use technological means that will eventually enable us to move beyond what some would think of as "human." Very smooth. Question; who are the guinea pigs for these elaborate and expensive projects? Do their lives matter? What about all those dead embryos experimented upon, do they not matter? -- oh, that's right, sacrifice is needed for the good of all mankind, wow…how spiritual and deep. Zoltan Istvan certainly thinks so. Futurist, Transhumanist and the 2016 U.S. Presidential candidate of the Transhumanist Party, and author of "Transhumanist Wager", a philosophical thriller set in a near dystopian future when America is on the fringe of technological breakthroughs; conservative politicians and Christian fundamentalist terrorists in opposition prevent them from saving mankind. No problemo. It's a fiction novel. A top 5 Amazon read apparently, presently being taught in schools and colleges around the world. Our education system -- the most trusted brainwashing institution of the century that actually works! In fact, the Transhumanist Party care so much about us that they have delivered a Transhumanist Bill of Rights over to the U.S. Capitol, requesting congress to classify aging as a disease. I doubt that Christians alone understand what's at stake here, the dangerous ramifications these 'modern' ideas impose on society moving forward. Nonetheless, these technologies will appeal to many, especially in the medical field, the Military Industrial Complex, future Smart Cities, Space Force and the promise of life-extension -- immortality. Scientists, the alchemists of modern times have fallen to the Ouroborus, the snake that eats its own tail and symbol of immortality. With the rise of Transhumanist politics and globalist funding, there will be no end to this madness because the race is on, the competition among the elite globalist class is too great, and no one wants to be left behind. Humanity will soon be faced with serious decisions to make. As Christians, we have been warned about the temptations and deceptions that will fill the earth in the Last Days. Revelations 13 predicts the coming of an antichrist system that will rule with an iron fist and destroy opposition. Jesus foretells this future in Matthew 24, but he also predicted; "that unless that time of calamities is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God's chosen ones." Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of life. Don't let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man. Luke 21:34-37 .
