Summary

Product Description Mucins compose of a group of highly glycosylated proteins produced by epithelial tissues. The mucins function in limiting the activation of inflammatory responses at the interface with the environment. Deregulation of mucin production has therefore provided an important link between inflammation and cancer. The secreted mucins (MUC2, MUC5AC, MUC5, MUC6) form a mucous layer to provide protection for epithelial cells in respiratory or gastrointestinal tracts. The transmembrane mucins (MUC1, MUC4, MUC13, MUC16) contribute to the protective mucous gel through O-glycosylated tandem repeats.

Properties

Storage instruction For continuous use, store undiluted antibody at 2-8°C for up to a week. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -175°C or below. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Suggest spin the vial prior to opening. The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
