Trendsetter Needles #6. STITCHES USED: SIZES: Sm(34”), Med(37”), Lg(40”), Xl(43”),1x(46”). Stock St.: Finished size is about 3” larger. Row 1: (RS) Knit across the row. Row 2: Purl across the row. #4600-C PHOENIX ANGLED PLEATED NECK PULLOVER – KNITTING INSTRUCTIONS BACK: With #6 needle and Phoenix, Cast on 84(90,96,104,110)sts. Knit 1 row. Work in Stock St. and short rows as follows to create the angle: P12(13,14,15,16)sts. Put yarn in back. Sl.1. Move yarn to front. Sl.1 back. Turn. K12(13,14,15,16). P24(26,28,30,32)sts catching wrap and stitch along the way. Put yarn in back. Sl.1. Move yarn to front. Sl.1 back. Turn. Knit to end. Continue working 12(13,14,15,16)sts more each WS row 3x more. (Total of 5 short rows have been worked.) On next WS row, work 12(13,13,15,15)sts more. On next WS row, work 12(12,13,14,15)sts more to complete the row. Continue in Stock St. on all stitches until 14” from the short end along the side edge. Bind off 5(5,6,6,7)sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows to start the armhole. Decrease 1 stitch each end every other row in full fashion (decreases are worked 2sts in from the arm side edge) every other row 4(5,5,6,6)x. Continue on 66(70,74,80,84) sts until the armhole is 6(6 ½,7,7 ½,8)”. Bind off the center 30sts on the next row. Join new yarn and work both neck edges at the same time. When the armhole is 7(7 ½,8,8 ½,9)”. Bind off all stitches. SLEEVES: With #6 needle and Phoenix, Cast on 58(58,60,60,60)sts. Work in Stock St., Increasing 1 stitch each end every 6(5,5,5,5)rows 2(3,3,3,3)x. Continue on 62(64,66,66,66)sts until the sleeve is 4”. Bind off 5(5,6,6,7)sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows to start the cap. Decrease 1 stitch each end every 4th row until the cap is 4 ½(5,5 ½,6,6 ½)”. Bind off 2sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows or work as short rows to avoid bind off ledges. Bind off all stitches on next row. FINISHING: With pins, fold pleats at center neck edge by holding the left edge and pushing fabric back behind from the right side. Pin through pleat. Repeat 2x more at the center neck edge to narrow and shape neck. Make sure pleats are centered. Sew the shoulder seams closed. Carefully create 3 pleats at center of sleeve cap in the same fashion to narrow cap down to about 3”. Make sure to pin pleats closed. Set the sleeve to the body by centering the cap to the shoulder seam. Maker sure to sew through all pieces of the pleat making sure they will stay closed. Continue to work from top down on each side of cap. Sew the remaining underarm and side seams closed. With #F crochet hook and Phoenix work 1 row of Single Crochet around the complete neck edge catching the pleats at center neck. (Make sure to catch front and back of pleats to secure them closed.) Work 1 row of Rev. Single Crochet around the neck edge. Repeat 2 rows of Crochet along the sleeve cuff and bottom angled edge to finish off.
