This regatta serves as a celebration of the truly remarkable history of yacht racing in the Detroit area dating back to the 1800’s. This regatta is open to any wood boat, any pre-1970 boat, and any boat with a design whose intent is to evoke the look of a classic yacht. This event takes place the day before the DYC Father’s Day Boat show, which should make for an exciting weekend to marvel at some truly historic boats at our club. All DYC members are welcome to come to the awards party near the Flying Scot shed after the race Saturday afternoon. more info at: www.detroitclassicboat.com 2 FROM THE COMMODORE COM.
