Parish Announcements Sunday, September 18, 2016 3 You Are Invited to Join “The Guardians of St. Joseph Marello’s Home” Ministry Please consider joining a team of 18 parishioners who share their helping hands and hearts to maintain the beauty of our St. Joseph Marello home! Every Friday morning, after the 8AM Mass, 6-8 volunteers meet for approximately an hour to tidy up the Church, Ministry Center, and surrounding facilities. Snacks are provided! THE GOAL: Our hope is to form a ministry of stewardship, “Guardians of St. Joseph Marello’s Home”, similar to our neighboring Parish, Sts. Peter and Paul, where teams of volunteers rotate weekly throughout each month. Ideally, with a large number of ministry members, a parishioner would volunteer only once a month. If Fridays do not work into your schedule, let us know because we are flexible! “Start by doing what’s necessary, then do what’s possible, and suddenly, you are doing the impossible.” To join the ministry or for more information contact: St. Francis of Assisi Dave and Ann Whitman 916-780-0218 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NAME : ____________________________________________EMAIL: _____________________________________ PHONE: _______________________________________ _____I would like to join the ministry and help tidy up an assigned area of the church facilities. _____I would like to join the ministry; however, my availability is limited. Why does the Church teach about issues affecting public policy? The Church’s obligation to participate in shaping the moral character of society is a requirement of our faith, a part of the mission we have received from Jesus Christ, who offers a clear vision of our human dignity and compels us to love our neighbors as he loved us.
