They come on faster than Xenon which creates superior safety. In fact, rear LED tail light assemblies light up a quarter of a second faster than most incandescents, translating to 22 extra feet of reaction time at 60 mph. This is an important safety improvement which we believe Audi wants to bring to you. LED’s can also be controlled individually and Audi could easily design a broad LED headlight array with various supplemental LED’s pointed off to the sides. These outside LED’s could light up as you turn a corner, also providing better lighting and superior safety. Currently several companies use LED’s in tail light LED on board! See pages 90 to 93 for S4 upgrade.
