FLAP EXHAUST SYSTEM Controlling the car’s noise level

Je Design has included a CAN controlled flap exhaust system in their program for the Seat Leon Cupra 5F (three and five-door models). It is sold with EC approval and installation instructions.

THE FLAP EXHAUST SYSTEM CAN BE OPERATED using the "Seat Drive Profile" on the touch screen. The driving profiles Normal, Sport, and Cupra can be selected. With the profiles Normal and Sport, the exhaust flap remains closed and the exhaust quiet. Cupra mode is different: With the flap open, the exhaust system reveals its full sound.

The flap exhaust system consists of a front silencer replacement pipe, center muffler with exhaust flap and rear muffler with outlet to the left and right. All parts are made of stainless steel. The equipment also includes a switching module for the flap control system including a cable set with plug, hose and solenoid valve.

The complete system is available both for the Je Design rear apron with square twin tailpipes as well as for the original Cupra (Photo: Je Design) rear apron with four tailpipes with a diameter of 80 millimeters each.

The German company Je Design is involved in the development and construction as well as the distribution of vehicle tuning parts for Volkswagen, Audi, and Seat. The main focus is aimed at car styling in the aerodynamic sector using synthetic materials that are manufactured using the methods of Vacuum forming, injection molding, and foam plastic technology. The company also develops products, like body styling kits, in the aerodynamic field for other tuners.
