From this, what could feel more natural than exploring the Norwegian fjords from our newest Hurtigruten ship, the MS Spitsbergen. We have called our adventure The Norwegian Fjord Explorer Special. At Hurtigruten, we want to give you the opportunity to travel with meaning. We aim to be world leading in sustainable tourism and explorer travels in polar waters. We want to offer you unique experiences and impart knowledge in a way that leaves the smallest environmental footprint possible. On the other hand, we are strongly committed to make profound and lifelong impressions on each and every one of our guests. We want to help everyone connect with their inner explorer. From spring 2016, MS Spitsbergen will plot a parallel route with our classic ship MS Lofoten, along the rugged and beautiful Norwegian coastline – with a little twist to excite your senses. As her ‘mentor’, MS Lofoten will follow her regular schedule; yet MS Spitsbergen, the first-timer – curious as she is – will spend more hours in selected ports during the daylight hours. This will offer you the opportunity to get to know the places we visit just a little better and meet the warm-hearted people who live there. To taste their food, smell their air, listen to their dialects, feel their weather, and see their sights. In addition, prior to February 1, 2018, the Company may redeem at its option no more than 40% of the aggregate principal amount of the Notes with the net cash proceeds from certain equity offerings. Upon certain events defined as constituting a change of control, the Company may be required to make an offer to purchase the Notes. In the event of certain developments affecting taxation, the Company may redeem all, but not less than all, of the Notes. The Notes will be senior obligations of the Company and will be guaranteed (the “Notes Guarantees”) within 70 days of the Hurtigruten Tender Offer Settlement Date (as defined herein) on a senior secured basis by certain of the Company’s subsidiaries (together, the “Guarantors”). As of the Issue Date, subject to the operation of the Agreed Security Principles, the Notes will be secured by first- ranking security interests over substantially all of the assets of the Company and Silk Midco AS.

From 2021, the Hurtigruten classic will become a training ship - educating future generations of seafarers. Hurtigruten, the world leader in exploration travel, has signed a letter of intent with the Norway-based educational foundation Maritim videregående skole Sørlandet (Sørlandet’s Maritime High School) for the sale of MS Lofoten. The 151-bed ship is due to welcome her first students in August 2021. - This opens a new chapter in MS Lofoten’s rich and proud history. She has been a part of everyday life along the Norwegian coast for generations. Now, she will train the next generation of seafarers, Hurtigruten Group CEO Daniel Skjeldam says. The school has trained young mariners since 1927. MS Lofoten will be their fifth training ship, where students live, work and practice their skills on board. - There is a growing demand for skilled seafarers, especially those with a background from training ships. The acquisition of MS Lofoten is an important step forward for us. She is a true gem that deserves to be looked well after, says Tor Helge Egeland, the school’s director.
