He stated that he works right in the neighborhood of 1.- Madison and 50th Street from 6:00 pm in the evening until 1:30 am in the morning. He stated that he observed a black sedan with two male occupants sitting near the corner of 51st St. and Madison Avenue on several nights as he was coming home .¢-- from work I? around l:#0 am. On the night on which the explosion occurred at Cardinal SPELLMAN's residence,he stated that he observed the same black car with two male occupants turning in a corner at 51st St. and Madison Avenue at a fast rate of speed and almost collided with a taxicab, which he could identify only as being entirely yellow. He stated that both cars stopped and the taxicab driver and the driver of the black car had a short argument.

He stated that he could not describe either the black car or its occupants or the cab driver in any greater detail, however, he noticed that there were two men working on Fifth Ave. at 51st St., belonging to the Con Edison Co., who also saw the argument which ensured between the cab driver and the driver of the black sedan. - '
