Due to this it is now accepted to have PV integration towards street areas. Extensive retrofitting of buildings, reorganisation of the energy supply and change in transport habits are some of many initiatives the City of Copenhagen will implement in order to become carbon neutral by 2025. With the climate plan, the Danish capital combines growth, development and higher quality of life with a reduction in Carbon emissions of around 1.16 million tons. EU funding is here utilised as a strong support for the large scale PV implementation plan in Valby. The conclusion is that it has been possible to obtain clearly improved energy saving results as a general rule. The bridge directly connects the two quay sides of Sluseholmen and Teglholmen along the main axis of the area. Thus the bridge follows the natural flow along the main axis of the area and with its minimalistic though intricat design it offers a natural con- tinuation of the existing ways of movement for pedestrians and bicyclists in the area. While play- ing with the concept of a straight bridge crossing over the harbor channel. ABSTRACT 03 area for placing a bridge proposed map of the area BRIDGE PROJECT 04 CONTEXT & DATA The Bridge is located in the harbor of Copenha- gen between the two parts; Sluseholmen and Teglholmen across ‘Teglløbet’, which has a width of approximately 100 meters. The area is newly develeoped, based on the mas- terplan by Soeters Van Eldonk Ponec in coopera- tion with Arkitema. The area is still in development, though due to pollution of the site on Teglholmen and the cur- rent financial status of the markets, the next stages of the development of the area has been put on hold for the moment.

From 2009 onwards Brewer Jacobsen’s Carlsberg estate, between the Vesterbro and Valby districts, will undergo radical redevelopment as a new district incorporating a wealth of listed and preservation- worthy buildings and gardens. Jacobsen, master brewer, had enjoyed so much success J.C. Jacobsen’s son Carl also became a brewer. He rented The Dipylon Gate (dipylon from Greek, meaning double gate) brewing bottom-fermented beer at his father’s brewery in his father’s Annex Building (anneksbyggeriet). Soon after, he served as a portal to the New Carlsberg Brewery from the Brolæggerstræde since 1826 that by 1847 the premises had acquired Bakkegården, the neighbouring property, where he Vesterbro side.     CYKELSUPERSTIER I HOVEDSTADSOMRÅDET - RUTEBESKRIVELSER - NOVEMBER 2012 Roskildevejsruten Nuværende forhold Roskildevejsruten forbinder Høje-Taastrup, Albertslund, Brøndby, Glostrup, Hvidovre, Frederiksberg og Københavns kommuner, se figur 1. Figur 1. Roskildevejsruten vist med orange streg er en af radialruterne i det samlede forslag til et net af cykelsuperstier i hovedstadsområdet vist med grå streg. Høje-Taastrup Kommune, 11 km I Høje-Taastrup Kommune følger ruten Roskildevej på enkeltrettede cykelstier, som mellem byområ- derne Hedehusene og Høje-Taastrup har spredt bebyggelse i det åbne terræn. I byerne Hedehusene og Høje-Taastrup er gaderummet bredt med blandet bebyggelse på begge sider, men hvor det i Hedehusene overvejende er beboelse, er det i Høje-Taastrup mest industri. Langs ruten passeres flere større trafikve- je, heriblandt Ring 5, Hveen Boulevard og Ring 4. Albertslund Kommune, 3,2 km Ruten mellem den vestlige del af Albertslund Kommune ved Herstedvestervej og kommunegrænsen til Glostrup går på enkeltrettede stier langs Roskildevej. Gaderummet er bredt med en blandet åben bebyg- gelse uden facadeadgang til Roskildevej. Ved Albertslund Centrum krydser ruten Ring 4 ruten. CYKELSUPERSTIER I HOVEDSTADSOMRÅDET RUTEBESKRIVELSER 2 / 23 Glostrup Kommune, 2,9 km Ruten går mellem Albertslund og Brøndby kommuner på enkeltrettede stier langs Hovedvejen (Roskil- devej). Gaderummet er bredt med en blandet åben bebyggelse. På hovedparten af strækningen er der ikke facadeadgang til Hovedvejen bortset fra en delstrækning gennem Glostrup bymidte, hvor der er butikker og andre strøgfunktioner. Ruten krydser Ring 3 ruten. Brøndby Kommune, 1,7 km Ruten i Brøndby går mellem Glostrup og Rødovre kommuner på enkeltrettede stier langs Roskildevej. Gaderummet er bredt med en blandet åben bebyggelse uden facadeadgang til Roskildevej.
