Contribution to the Corporate Life of the University  In 2000, when there was unrest in the university owing to clash between police and the students, nearly 70 innocent students were arrested and were put behind the bars. I, being the Secretary of the Jamia Teachers’ Association played positive and constructive role. Normalcy was restored at the campus and the arrested students were not only got released but the cases against them were withdrawn unconditionally.  During the same tenure of secretaryship, I succeeded to institute Jamia Teachers’ Scholarship for merit holders and needy students. All teachers make monthly contributions to this fund. Large number of students is awarded scholarship every year.

Future Plans 1. I shall complete my ongoing UGC’s MRP, ‘Tafrih ul Imarat’: A Study of Heritage and Culture. 2. I shall complete the ongoing translation of the book of Abdul Ghaffar Madholi’s autobiography entitled, Ek Muallim ki Zindagi. 3. I am writing a book on the Mughals and Rajputs (1526-1707 A.D.) 4. I shall organize a seminar on the theme, ‘Trade Routes to Cultural Roots’.
