The Comillas Pontifical University Information and Student Reception Team welcomes you to Madrid. We hope that this exchange experience you share with us will be beneficial for you and an enjoyable one! We hope that this brochure will help you in the choice of your accommodation in Madrid. Here are some useful tips to help you select and manage your accommodation. The Comillas Pontifical University does not have its own accommodation and therefore this office offers students at our University information about student accommodation in Madrid. The Information and Student Reception Office only manages accommodation with families. We offer different types of accommodation so that you can organize your search. The responsibility for the relationship between the student and the accommodation owner is that of the student. In this brochure you will find information about the different options of accommodation in Madrid for students at our University. Lodging with a familiy. Halls of Residence. Renting an apartament. Renting a room in a shared flat with other students. Other accommodation options. Resources for finding accommodation. We will guide you through all the possible accommodation options and we will assist you in the process of each case. Also you will get to know the university, where it is located, about life and the cost of living in Madrid, students, timetable, etc… 3 Main Campus (Alberto Aguilera, 23) of the Comillas Pontifical University The Comillas Pontifical University has several Campuses at Madrid. In the Main Campus (Alberto Aguilera, 23) we offer the following Degrees Engineering programmes Law Business Administration Law and Business Programmes with International Relations. The Main Campus is located in the centre of the city. You can access to the Campus by Metro: The nearest Metro Station are Argüelles (Lines 3, 4 and 6) o San Bernardo (Lines 2 and 4). Also you can take the BUS –EMT Empresa Municipal de Transporte-. Next to the University: Routes 21, 2, 202, Circular, 1, 44, 74, 133 Alberto Aguilera 21. This is situated in calle Alberto Aguilera 21 Office hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. From September to May we are also open from 3:30 to 5:30 pm Monday thru Thursday. Guidance and mediation on problems arising from issues relating to accommodation. 5 Accommodation with a Family Many international students at Comillas stay in Spanish family homes that lodge students. We have many years of experience working with these families and the students have always appreciated and valued them. Students who live with a family in Madrid have the advantage of: + living in a family home, + a privileged environment in which to learn Spanish, + a place to experience the true Spanish culture first hand. The family can also provide the students with: + meals according to student’s requirements, + cleaning of their room, + laundry. All utilities are included in the price of the accommodation (water, electricity, heating, wifi,… ) The cost of full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is 950 € And half board (breakfast and dinner) is 800 €. If you would like to lodge with Spanish family you should advise us by e-mail [email protected] We will send you an application form giving us your needs and requirements. We will find you a family that matches your requirements. We will advise you the details of the family selected and If you agree you will send your confirmation. If you choose this option you must realize that this is a firm commitment on your behalf and you must not leave the family unless there are extenuating circumstances. Some Halls of Residence allow exchange students. Below you will find information about these Residences and you can make a reservation if there are spaces available. The Residence that you choose will inform you how to proceed with your reservation. Important Note It is customary for Residences to request a deposit equivalent to a month’s rent. It is possible that they will require payment for the length of your stay.     DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA MATERIA DE PRÁCTICAS TUTELADAS DE FISIOTERAPIA Las Prácticas Tuteladas se entienden como “conjuntos integrados de prácticas a realizar en centros universitarios o vinculados a la Universidad por convenios o conciertos, que pongan en contacto a los estudiantes con los problemas de la práctica profesional” (B.O.E. 158 de 3 de julio de 1999). Las prácticas tuteladas tendrán como objetivo incorporar los valores profesionales, competencias de comunicación asistencial, razonamiento clínico, gestión clínica y juicio crítico, integrando en la práctica profesional los conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes de la Fisioterapia, basados en principios y valores, asociados a las competencias descritas en los objetivos generales y en las materias que conforman el Título. (B.O.E. Nº 174 de 19 de julio de 2008). En el Grado de Fisioterapia las Prácticas Tuteladas se organizan como prácticas preprofesionales en forma de rotatorio clínico independiente y con una evaluación final de competencias, en los Centros de Salud, Hospitales y otros centros asistenciales que permitan la consecución de los objetivos planteados. (Orden CIN/2135/2008) ESTRUCTURA DE LA MATERIA DE PRÁCTICAS TUTELADAS. La materia de Prácticas Tuteladas en el Grado en Fisioterapia de la Escuela de Enfermería y Fisioterapia San Juan de Dios, está estructurada en dos asignaturas con un total de 42 créditos ECTS, que se distribuyen a lo largo de los cuatro años de duración del Grado del siguiente modo: 3º Curso PRÁCTICAS TUTELADAS I (12 créditos ECTS) 4º Curso PRÁCTICAS TUTELADAS II (30 créditos ECTS) ORGANIZACIÓN DE LAS ASIGNATURAS DE PRÁCTICAS TUTELADAS Las asignaturas de Prácticas Tuteladas se cursan en forma de rotatorio clínico en diferentes centros sanitarios concertados con nuestra Universidad.
