Boccia Victoria Contact: Leanne Carlon Phone: 0410 432 405 Email: [email protected] Website: www.boccia.com.au Boccia Victoria will implement the Boccia Strategic Development Plan including the development of clubs into sustainable organisations. They will support clubs in increasing membership numbers, evaluating methods and achievements and developing intra and inter club competition structures. Opportunities to participate in boccia are available in both metropolitan and regional areas in Victoria. - 4 - Bowls Victoria Contact: Scott Nicholas Phone: (03) 9861 7100 Email: [email protected] Website: www.bowlsvic.org.au Bowls is a sport for all ages and abilities, and to continue Bowls Victoria’s commitment to leading Victoria’s most accessible sport, Bowls Victoria will be undertaking a number of initiatives as part of their involvement in the AAA Program. As part of the program, they aim to develop the skills of clubs, coaches and people within the community in working with bowlers with a disability in the hopes of creating a state-wide network of clubs providing All Abilities programs. These programs will seek to introduce new participants to the sport and identify bowlers with the potential to progress along the pathway to representative bowls and events. The AAA program will be a great opportunity for Bowls Victoria to continue to highlight the accessibility of their sport, help their clubs develop more welcoming and inclusive environments and establish inclusion as part of their organisational practice. Calisthenics Victoria Contact: Matthew Brown Phone: (03) 9562 6011 Email: [email protected] Website: www.calisthenics.asn.au Calisthenics Victoria’s ultimate vision for inclusion in Calisthenics is to promote access for all abilities until high levels of focus are no longer required. They simply want it to be a part of their culture, their governance and their sport. However to achieve this vision, they plan to take steps, both big and small, in a measurable and strategic way, while bringing all stakeholders with them on their journey. Their focus is towards encouraging clubs to deliver ‘Club Cal-ability’ as an entry level recreational pathway to Calisthenics for all ages. They will provide clubs with start-up kits and resources to encourage clubs to actively seek participants. They will hold an annual Cal-ability Gala Day to bring together and celebrate the clubs and schools who are facilitating the Club Cal-ability Program, and engage Helen - 5 - Richey as an ambassador.
