“The Art of the Remix”: New Interactive Music Remixing Tutorial Released Submitted By: Rood Media Ltd Monday, 22 June 2009 “The Art Of The Remix”: New Interactive Music Remixing Tutorial Released Submitted by: Rood Media Ltd Monday, 22 June 2009 - As Recommended by Dirty Vegas and Jimmy Douglass, Producer/Engineer for Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Justin Timberlake. - The Art Of The Remix Video is Co-produced by Grammy Award-Winner Charles Dye The Art Of The Remix (http://www.faderpro.com) is an in-depth video course taught by two remix experts. Vincent DiPasquale (http://www.vcdstudios.com) has worked with everyone from Timbaland to Madonna, while Steven Lee (http://www.myspace.com/stevensr2) is one half of the dynamic Lee-Cabrera house music partnership with the legendary Albert Cabrera. Together they’ve produced seven hours of essential high definition content, available to be streamed online or via a DVD, on creating a high quality remix from start to finish. The Art Of The Remix is just like sitting right next to a couple of remix experts as they produce a track from start to finish. “Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to learn by working with some of the most talented producers on the planet,” says DiPasquale. “And people are constantly asking me if they can sit in and watch during a remix. Now they can, as we remix a song together for an actual project.” "What sets The Art of the Remix apart is that by following each step you'll produce the exact same remix we did in the studio on your system," adds Lee. "Vincent teaches you every single step of the process, and by following along with the provided sessions, you'll be able to recreate the exact same result we delivered to the record label." By following the video tutorial, the user can create a replica of the remix of Nadia Ali’s ‘Crash & Burn’ that DiPasquale and Lee fashioned. “The entire experience will be something they can then apply to their own remixes and studio projects,” says Steven, who provides the DJ’s perspective on the project. Remixing, where you are given all the constituent parts to work with is a great way of getting into producing your own individual tracks. Many of today’s top producers learned their craft by starting out remixing for other people. Notes to Editors The Art Of The Remix is available now and is priced at :- DVD + Streaming: 71.51 (Euro) 61.06 (GBP) 99.99 (USD) Page 1 Streaming only: 64.35 (Euro) 54.95 (GBP) 89.99 (USD) FaderPro (http://www.faderpro.com), co-founded by Steven Lee and Vincent Di Pasquale, produces video training courses on the art of music production. www.faderpro.com For all media enquiries please contact Roo @ Rood Media E: [email protected] www.roodmedia.com Page 2 Distributed via Press Release Wire (https://pressreleases.responsesource.com/) on behalf of Rood Media Ltd Copyright © 1999-2021 ResponseSource, The Johnson Building, 79 Hatton Garden, London, EC1N 8AW, UK e: [email protected] t: 020 3426 4051 f: 0345 370 7776 w: https://www.responsesource.com.

You'll Need A Free Acrobat PDF Viewer Plug-In For Your Browser. It has been said that "there are no rules" when it comes to mixing music in surround. Opinions still vary as to how much (if at all) the sub and center channels are utilized. There are no standards on delivery formats (audio files on hard drives, CD-Rs or DVD-Rs; Genex MO; DA-88 or 98HR tapes; or 8-track 1- or 2-inch analog) or even how the monitor speakers should be set up in the control room (ITU standard or quad equidistant). Surround signal processing and methods differ significantly from stereo with a general consensus emerging: For surround sound mixing, with higher resolution and six channels to play music over, there is less need to process individual tracks or the mix buses like stereo, so everything fits down a 2-channel pipe. As liberating as this might seem, this quantum leap in sonics and mixing options is not without caveats: Each individual track's sound quality; the cohesiveness and detail of the overall mix; reverb and delay setup and use, and the quality assurance of the final encoding process are critical for the best surround sound.

WINTER NAMM BOOTH #7800 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Travis McGee, Griffin Public Relations & Marketing (212) 481-3456 Ext. 24 [email protected] RECORDING ENGINEER JIMMY DOUGLASS AND JBL PROFESSIONAL LSR4300 SERIES STUDIO MONITORS MAKE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC TOGETHER ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, January 17, 2008 —Renowned recording engineer Jimmy Douglass, whose credits range from the Rolling Stones to Foreigner to Jay-Z, has enjoyed continued success mixing Justin Timberlake’s blockbuster FutureSex/LoveSounds album and Duran Duran’s Red Carpet Massacre. Both albums were mixed using JBL Professional LSR4300 Series studio monitors, which Douglass purchased while mixing the Timberlake release. Having started at Atlantic Records in what he calls the “magic days” of music recording, Douglass was called on for projects with the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, the Young Rascals and other top artists of the day. Today, Douglass is at the top of his game as first-call engineer for Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Jay- Z, Matisyahu and Rob Thomas. The diversity of his credits is a testament to Jimmy’s versatility as an engineer. This versatility is also seen in Douglass’s willingness to embrace cutting-edge technology. “Recording technology has changed dramatically over the years, and I‘ve found myself changing with it,” Douglass said. “My attitude has always been, if there’s new technology available, I want to be able to use it. I watched digital technology come in one piece at a time.” Recording engineer Jimmy Douglass has recently used JBL LSR4300 Series studio monitors to mix Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveSounds and Duran Duran’s Red Carpet Massacre.
