Bibliography and citations are important elements in writing scientific papers. The arrangement of these two things is done manually or by application. Mendeley is a commonly used citation software. This activity was carried out online using the zoom application because during the Covid-19 pandemic, direct socialization or outreach activities could not be carried out because of the suggestion of Physical distancing. During the presentation of the material, discussion participants were invited to ask questions. The discussion participants were very enthusiastic and there were many questions submitted, including reference sources that could be used in writing scientific papers and the types of writing styles found in the Mendeley application. Community service activities in the form of online discussions about reference management (Mendeley Application) in writing scientific papers are expected to provide knowledge and information specifically for participants who are final year students. This online discussion is expected to also become a forum to refresh knowledge about reference management for participants who are lecturers. In this paper, we present an overview of several features of our system. We outline several challenges involved in on-the-fly transformation of highly heterogeneous BiBTeX files into high-quality Linked Data, and present our solution to these challenges. An Insider’s Insight into Literature Searches Searching the literature can take various forms, ranging from a quick scan of recent publications to a formal, systematic interrogation of all available data sources to establish the scientific consensus on a specific topic. In these days of online journal databases, the relative ease of conducting a search means that they often start informally with no thought-out search strategy or defined goal. A long list of articles can be generated almost instantaneously, but what did you miss and how long will it take to review the data? How easily can the search strategy be repeated and adapted to obtain a more complete and refined set of references? We offer some insights from the Niche medical writing team who have been conducting literature searches for their clients since 1998. Abstract: The research work was conducted with the objectives to find the intricacies faced by students, research practitioners and professionalsduring their research and to suggest the best software alternatives for each category of problems faced by them, based on expected characteristics. Thestudy is intended to help researchersfrom diverse fields, especially those not belonging to information technology and its allied background. This study was pursued by the researcher collecting firsthand information for primary data through a face- to face interview of students, research practitioners and professionals from diverse fields using a structured open ended questionnaire querying about the intricacies faced by them during their research and the characteristics expected by them in the software aiding in research. The analysis is performed in three stages; at the first stage the researcher performs thematic textual analysis on the responses to the questionnaire, short listing the intricacies faced by researchers during their research and the characteristics expected by them in the software aiding in research. Secondly, a keyword search is performed on the shortlisted intricaciesto find the categories of software required to aid the researchers for each type of problem faced by them and then find software alternatives for each category of software along with a brief functional minutiae. Finally theresearcher conducts a thorough study of the related literature, websites, brochure of software companies as well as their products and services and also appliesobservation and application method examining the various short listed software alternatives for each category based on expected characteristics to suggests the best software alternatives for each category of intricacies faced by researchers. -

Many online systems have been designed specifically for this purpose, e.g., BibSonomy [9] and CiteSeer [10]. The work in the semantic web community in this area has also resulted in several tools (such as BiBTeX to RDF conversion tools [5]), ontologies (such as SWRC [7] and the Bibliographic Ontology [6]) and data sources (such as DBLP Berlin [8]). These systems, tools, and data sources are widely being used and have considerably simplified and enhanced many bibliographic data management tasks such as data curation, storage, retrieval, and sharing of bibliographic data.
