SINGLE ZONE DESIGN. DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION (Secondary Zone(s) turned on) 1. Thermostat(s) calls the System Manager for a heat call. 2. System Manager powers Z4 (Loop Circ Relay) during the entire heat cycle. 3. System Manager preheats boiler then starts injecting hot water into the loop through the Z3 (Injection Zone Valve). 4. When the thermostat call is satisfied, the System Manager post purges into the loop. 5. The System Manager holds Z4, the loop circulator while it post purges to Z3, the Injection Zone. SETUP: Set boiler bypass to full open and balance the return line to set the return to approx 130° on cold startup. * FIELD WIRING TERMINATED TO INPUT TERMINAL A1 AND TO OUTPUT TERMINAL 7. AIR/DIRT/MAG separator highly recommended. Top entry and return line strainer not needed with AIR/DIRT/MAG separator. 24VAC ARE TO BE WIRED INTO THE OPEN LUGS PROVIDED ON THOSE TERMINAL LOCATIONS. 8. DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION: 1. Thermostat calls the SystemManager for a heat call. 2. System Manager powers Z11 (Loop Relay & Circ) during the entire heat cycle. 3. System Manager preheats boiler then starts injecting hot water into the loop through the Z10 (Injection Zone Valve). 4. When the thermostat call is satisfied, the System Manager post purges the heat still in the boiler into the loop. 6. The System Manager holds the loop circulator during post purge. 7. When connecting to an old potentionally dirty system, the Injection piping should enter and exit the Loop Manifold from the top to prevent any contamination in the system from entering the boiler. If access to the top of the Loop Manifold is not possible, a drop leg with a drain valve for cleanout should be installed in the return leg. 9. BOILER OPENS ZONE VALVE AFTER PRE-HEAT AND ALSO POWERS THE LOOP CIRCULATOR THROUGH THE FAN RELAY IN PARALLEL WITH THE SR 100 RELAY. 3. THERMOSTAT CALL IS SATISFIED AND THE SR 100 RELAY DROPS POWER TO THE LOOP CIRCULATOR. 4. FAN RELAY WILL CONTINUE TO POWER THE LOOP CIRCULATOR UNTIL POST PURGE CYCLE IS COMPLETE AND THE ZONE VALVE CLOSES.
